Review: Usually known for more jumpier takes on D&B - especially with his 2Ton project - Corrupted Mind follows up the Jungle Jam single with a full EP of the same gully, uncompromised and blistering breakbeat jungle style. Each cut gnarlier than the last, Nuusic's signature fizzy energy has been reimagined in an exciting way as CM goes in on all the little details: 'Rinse Out' comes with serious tension, 'Murder Tune' is all about the militant percussion while 'War Cry' is just pure bassline aggression. What an EP!

Review: Following releases on the likes of Grand Theft Audio and DnB Allstars, Corrupted Mind comes charging headfirst into Nuusic HQ with the first single from his forthcoming EP - 'Jungle Jam'. Living up to its name, the track is a rampant breakbeat assault with choppy cuts and a relentless sense of dark energy. Complete with added drama from the strings and vocal sample and it's a perfect snapshot of where this young UK artist is at. High grade.

Review: As 2023 starts to wrap up, Manchester label Nuusic take the time to reflect on the year they've had and bring their many releases together in one comprehensive collection. Looking back over key releases such as Guzi's album Goldstone Life, Grimesy's 'Voices' and Conrad Subs' 'Don't Blame The DJ', there's a powerful range of party starters, bubblers, skankers and slappers. To pick just a few highlights from 30 is pretty hectic, but Tweakz' jazzy planet stamper 'Love & loyalty', Rise's creeped out 'Intertwined' and Guzi & Epicentre's walloping 'Rate My Switch' are a great place to start. If you've got any holes in your Nuusic collection, now's your chance to get stuck in.

Review: Buss out your brolly, grab your galoshes, wriggle them wellies; Sola are back on Nuusic, they're bringing their pals, and they really couldn't give a monkeys about the weather. A thoughtful, well-measured grizzly head-nodder, 'Dance In The Rain' sees them linking with long-time friend Jfal and MC-du-jour Freddy B. It sets the perfect scene for the rest of the EP: loveable jungle rogue Conrad Subs links in for the almighty 'Squeeze' AND a killer remix of 'Dance In The Rain' while Sola go solo for some addictive skanky panky on 'Ska Tissue'. Perfect, whatever the weather.

Review: Live, laugh, love: Tweakz breaches the helm at Nuusic once again and the result is a sensual jungle-influenced collection of vibrant buzzy rollers and skank-ups. Musical and soulful to its very core but unabashed in its energy and ruff-house charm, 'Love & Loyalty' slams with wild breaks and big 60s style ripples and shimmers, 'Gangsta' strips things down to something much darker and more tense while 'Heavenly' brings things back round with big pads, dreamy vocals and chords. Through in a beef and drama free remix of Teej and Slay and you've got yourself a lovely package. Loyalty pays.

Review: Guzi goes for gold with his second album. As teased by the sampler EPs Nuusic have dropped over the last few weeks, it's a full multi-genre affair ranging from his signature D&B to house to grime to breaks to those awesome tracks that transition you from fast to slow. Packed with ravey flavours and references to the foundations (that were dug a good few years before he was even born) it's a massively accomplished EP collection and a showcase of just how on-point Guzi is when it comes to banger craft. Highlights include the politically-minded hardcore stomp-up 'Dance All Day', the beautiful transition track 'Deposition' and the Pulse-X style turbo grime stamps and bashes of 'Strawberry Milkshake'. And that's not even the tip of this epic rave-burg. Guzi's unstoppable right now.

Review: Science has proven that guns come out when the sun is out. This being the case we'd better get our uzi's out when Guzi's out and about. This is the level of gun finger business at play here as Nuusic continue to ooze this slew of new Gooz. His new album, three samplers deep, the bigger picture is coming into view; this is a gully multiverse where Guzi takes us in kinds of tempo directions and styles and influences. These two tracks are a perfect example as T-Man gets on board with a brilliant turbo flow on the hardcore style 'Trendsetter' and Killa P brings the heat and harmonies over a tense and bashy grime piece 'Same Way'. From foundation rave to grime futurism, this Goldstone album is living up to is name. Get your uzis out.

Review: Man like Guzi is all set to drop his album on Nuusic very very soon and these are the type of full-strength flavours you can expect from the man. A tempo-melting eclectic experience loaded with plenty of collabos, Goldstone Life will flex the full spectrum and this second sampler is proof. While the last sampler focused on some of the 140 style vibeage, this one focuses on some of the many high level link-ups he has in store. Conrad Subs brings some firing jungle energy on 'Selector', Epicentre gets stuck in with the big synth blazing tear-up 'Rate My Switch' while SuM tags in with a more hardcore-influenced blazer 'On Fiya'. Scorchio!

Review: This latest Sampler pack from the Goldstone Life project sure packs a punch as Guzi, Beskar and the vocal prowess of Vitamin G join forces across two sizzling original heaters. We open up with '1 4 T', an old school crossover between original grimey rhythms and more digitised synthetic structures, driven by cold production techniques and the super skippy vocal approach of Vitamin G, toasting the track nicely. Following on from a voluptuous half time switch up, we then move into 'You Can Do It', a seriously vibrant chopper, focussing on whistling synthesiser melodies and intense 2-step drum rolls, giving us an even more punchy feeling than the A-side. Awesome work!

Review: Hearing 'Voices' in your head? Then you're clearly a Grimesy fan. Upping the ante with every dispatch, this return to Nuusic is arguable his most accomplished and widest ranging collection to date as he rinses through the D&B menu and showcases all of his styles... 'Who You Are' is a big hands-in-the-air vocal work out, 'Time To Let Go' is a sub-drenched slice of futurism, 'Soundboy Run' is a straight up soundsystem rinser while 'Treading On Your Soul' closes the EP on another lighter raising sizzle session. Review: Saxxon and Teej on Nuusic... Do we need to say any more at this juncture? Everything about this one bangs hard with uncompromising, grubby, rabble-rousing funk and energy as the two hugely respected craftsmen link up for the first time. 'Soundkill' has an energy and vibe that's not dissimilar to the early 2000s Bingo Beats style with its ricochet elements and funk stabs. Meanwhile 'Akuma' sees Saxxon getting stuck in on a previous Teej joint with deadly effects. Killer sounds!

Review: The unstoppable Subster returns with yet more beefy breakbeat bangers to slap liberally on your chops. Four cuts, four opportunities to wheel up and wind up your dancefloor as Conrad tells us how it is. 'Don't Blame The DJ' sets the tone with a sick GQ sample and a warning about leaky roofs. 'Good Good Dub' brings a little dubwise skanky panky to the mix while 'IPS' goes for that old school stabby vibe with precision and tension. Finally man like Aries steps up for a ridiculously sick remix of Conrad's previous Nuusic outing 'Little Vibey Thing'. Don't blame the download store if this melts your next dancefloor.

Living up to its name Proper Tingz is a full-vibe package with lavish spittage from Redders over a powerful rolling groove. Also included is an excellent VIP of Audiomission's earliest appearance on the Welsh label; Kick Da Flava. Still armed with that killer sample, more oomph in the bass gives it a whole new twist.
