Review: Some very classy disco-house grooves here from your Canadian main man Demuir. Up first is 'Suite 1612 (High Off Da Luv)', which has a distinctly Dave Lee-esque feel (think 'Universe Of Love' or his Sunbust Band output) and which is served up in Original and Dub flavas. 'Loving This Way' is a more rolling, slightly tuffer affair that's got something of a late 90s filter disco vibe and an NSFW spoken vocal, and again is available in vocal and dub versions, while completing the package is 'The Book Of Crystal (Beat 4)', which takes us into the eyes-down and jackin' zone.
Review: After a summer of big releases on Origins, label chief Josh Butler returns to the label with a terrific two track EP. "Get It Together" is a sunny, groovy tech house cut with Todd Terry style rhythms and peppered with infectious disco diva vocals. The second offering "Sunday Sunset" is in collaboration with Korean-American talent Sohmi, who brings her sensual vocals to this evocative deep house cut. Proper mood music with slick dub elements that will hypnotise you into submission - it's perfect for dancefloors on lockdown. This is yet another must have from Butler on Origins, as the label continues to go from strength to strength.
