Review: Naiive isn't a name that we're massively familiar with, but after hearing this release it might be in our interests to get acquainted, as it would be in yours. A seriously original piece of work, all four tunes on offer bring something different to the table, with dirty jungle vibes, spacious halftime and atmospheric ambience. It's 'Pylons', a halftime number featuring Xochi & Impro, that has caught our attention most. With menacing MC work that floats over the top of a stepping, diving and ducking arrangement, Pylons is an amalgamation of different styles and sounds. There's also a wicked feeling of progression and change all the way through, so it constantly feels fresh. Top stuff.
