Review: Oliver Gehrmann and Xaver Hirsch largely improvised Ouer project has already delivered some stellar material over the last 12 months, including two self-released EPs. Here, tracks from those two sets are given the remix treatment. It's a pleasingly varied set, veering from spacey, Detroit techno-influenced goodness (Roberto Rodriguez's delicious version of "Aleph", and Perfect Straight's melodious take on "Onset"), to analogue house/warped electrofunk fusion (Minimal Afrika's revision of "Supra"), and sweaty, warehouse-friendly rave-era house revivalism (a saucer-eyed rework of "Vertical" by Panthera Krause). Best of all, though, is Thommy Ra's ultra-deep, ambient house-inspired revision of "Cornu", which is blissfully picturesque and atmospheric.
