Quake (Vern & Milla remix) - (4:52) 132 BPM
Review: Now we appear to have stumbled onto something very special indeed here as Riffs links up with PROJKTS to unleash a vibrant five track delivery, kicking off with the industrial percussive lines and unpredictable rhythmic manoeuvres of 'Paperclip'. We dive into a more traditional techy creation next as the catchy vocal slices and moogy bassline lead of 'Bootleg Anthem' give us a punchy second coming, before the post-funky drum movements and catchy patois vocal lines of 'My Weapon' continue the good energies. Finally, we move into the 80's inspired synthesizer bangs and choppy snare smashes of the title track 'Quake', to send the whole EP down a completely different direction, coming complete with a gnarly, chop heavy remix to match. Amazing work.

Review: After appearances on London's Arma Quadrants, Tumble Audio and Circular Jaw, Arma is up next on Prjkts to deliver his unique take on dance music that sits somewhere between UK funky and US ghetto house. From the deeply emotive "Gone2Soon " to the sombre yet bass heavy assault of "Priddy". It is then over to Lee Nardiello aka Motu of Bristol, with previous releases on Roska Kicks & Snares. His contribution is a fierce remix of "Hyperloopanthem". What was originally a bombastic and rhythm driven attack now gets an equally powerful remix up that gets injected with a much deserved grime aesthetic and serious bounce.

Review: A work of pure love and distraction from two thirds of Prjkts: a collective and label synonymous with forward thinking, open ended club music. The Bristol based duo of Vern & Milla move through melodic and volatile soundscapes to bring the listener a true statement of intent. This is the beginning of something special from the pair and label alike. Beginning with the rolling intergalactic bass of the title track, UK bass meets footwork on the jittery shenanigans of "3c-Us" (original mix) while "Tellin U" is a neon-lit soulful electro/R&B cut in the vein of Jimmy Edgar. It's a thrilling ride from start to finish. After great releases previously by Arma, Glot and DJ DVD RIP, we are excited for what they've got in store next.

Orachilcum Throne (TSVI remix) - (4:12) 133 BPM Hot
Hold (Evil Streets remix) - (4:20) 126 BPM
Review: South west fusionist Glot touches down on Bristol's ever-sharp, always far-out Prjkts project with three deliciously futuristic escapades. "Orachilcum Throne" reflects the movements being made in wave music right now with a blend that's at once jagged yet dreamy and soft focus, "Hold" is a little more abstract with 23rd century electro aesthetic while "Deconstructed Reconstructed" inverts his atmospheric leanings for an all-out percussive frenzy that's fully physical and visceral. Remix-wise TSVI adds late night UK funky tribal stomp to the "Orachilcum Throne" and Evil Streets flip "Hold" into a lo-fi wall-slapping house chugger. On point.

Gates (original mix) - (4:15) 128 BPM
Ritual (Farsight remix) - (4:35) 129 BPM
Review: Dehousy has only a few releases to his / her credit, but as Ritual displays, despite its irregular appearance, this project is always worthy of attention. The title track is an intoxicating house groove that revolves around tough tribal drums, warrior chants and wild shrieks, while on "No Rules", there is a similarly funky approach. Rolling drums, percussive drops and more deranged samples abound. "Gates" also mines an Afro path as an insistent groove and somewhat menacing chants take centre stage, while on the Farsight version of "Ritual", the mood swings towards garage as the chants rise a pulsing, stepping bass.

Review: Bristol's Prjkts crew have got a new name on their roster, and it's almost as good as the music that it represents. DJ DVD RIP bursts through the place with almighty fury, kicking things off with "Customertacticsarchitect", a powerful burst of hybrid house that shares the some nuttiness of Night Slug's material, and "Itsalloverme" acts as the perfect follow-up with its improvisational beat muscle and quick, snapshot sampling formula. "Stealthbuild" is a delightfully playful assemblage of nutty percussion great gunshots and hazy melodic waves, aptly washed out even further by Broken Haze's dusty, flute-ridden version. Massive TIP, right here!

Safari (Foxmind remix) - (4:02) 128 BPM
Review: The Prjkts imprint is only on its third outing but, they're already on a tight roll, and they've invited the prolific Arma offer some bass truth. The producer starts of with "Safari", a rollercoaster of a tune that takes us from flute-led grime all the way to Berlin techno, which is a similar state of affairs for the tribalistic patterns and intricate percussion licks of "Jungle Drums". "Space Raider", as the name implies, is an intergalactic bass-house trip guided by a warm, woozing bassline and a whole heap of starry melodics, followed by a Foxmind remix of Safari, where the original is deconstructed magnificently thanks to a newer, looser drum pattern that rattle side to side instead of banging up and down.

Review: LA's Big Sigh Brat Club gold card member Farsight delivers his most generous body of work to date on Bristol's PRJKTs imprint. Treating us to left-sided celestial twinkles ("Faded Memory"), anti-gravity ghetto jams ("Hymn Of Safe Passage"), 23rd century rave breaks ("Starduster") and twisted juke/jungle hybrids, his diverse, playful unpredictable signature is sharpening with every beat. Meanwhile on the remix flex Luru goes straight-up crazy with his kicks while +/- re-constructs tribal house in a dissonant future context.

Review: Future-focussed Bristol-based crew Prjkt come correct with their debut release: a mission statement with shots fired from all international project constituents. It's a broad, bold affair that ranges from iced-out beatless ambience (Barla & Pope's "Icebar") to classic electro (Arma's "Power Glove") by way of broken robot juke madness (C92's "Boddinstrasse"), cosmic beat freakery (Farsight's "Verdant Damage") and bounce loopy techno (Lobby's "Clapdance VIP"). And that's before we address the clattering, uncompromising house of Lorenzo BITW, the alien FX weirdness of Shiek and the breezy breaks of These Evil Streets. A really accomplished and exciting label launch... Keep your peepers locked on Prjkt.
