Review: A collaborative project between Echocord label owner Kenneth Christiansen and Dennis Bog, who works as Resoe for the Baum label, this album features tracks from a series of Pattern Repeat releases. While both artists are heavily inspired by dub techno, Pattern Repeat isn't a lazy exercise in heavy reverb and cliched dubby textures. Indeed, for much of the release, the duo focus on a reflective approach, as the stepping, late night sounds of "01B " and "03B" so articulately demonstrate. Even when they tease their way towards the dance floor, the route they take isn't obvious. "4B" is all chiming hooks wrapped around a sleek, nickel-plated rhythm, while "Ofetriade" - which had received the remix treatment from Ben Klock on the Gauge Tension release - teems with nagging acid lines.
