Review: Hasselman's latest release marks something of a departure as he turns his focus this time to peak-time techno. That said, this is hardly a standard tool-ish release, and "Insen" is underpinned by a funk bass line and features spacey melodic builds and filtered, hazy drops. Meanwhile, the title track is a brain-rattling affair, with a steely rhythm underscoring tranced out builds and crafty cut-ups. Last but by no means least there's Hasselman's new, 2019 version of "Polypolar", where he deploys the kind of grainy bass that was a staple in Zombie Nation's productions to devastating effect.
