Review: Emerging Danish cue balls Code Walk follow up their Peder Mannerfelt Produktion's debut of 2019 with Separate, part two of a triptych the collaboration will release on PMP. The duo's sound here expands on the fast techno zeitgeist coming out of Copenhagen right now with Code Walk experimenting with UK bass inspirations and IDM influences alongside spliced vocals that in turn see the pair develop their own bent of a largely Scandanavian sound. Industrial, dubby, metallic and chemical, ghoulish tones of floating grime haunt the atmospheres of tracks like "Clock" and "Forget" with harder dubstep and touches of footwork featuring in "Short Time Later". Horror synths meet distorted screams and rough breakbeats in "Inside" with the chopped, twisted and screwed "Wrist" introducing this new EP of wild sounds, tempo and aesthetic.
