Review: Oakies seminal classic 'Southern Sun' from back in 2002 gets the remix treatment from some fresh talent, and it's great to see plenty of care and attention has gone into making sure these live up to the timeless original. With a forward thinking prog mix coming from the promising Moe Ally, and 'Dark' cuts from Cold Blue, both bringing plenty of energy and sympathetically working with the original elements to ensure the beauty and essence is kept alive. They have bags of floor appeal with Cold Blue suiting uplifting sets as well. Another worth checking is the housier mix from Paul Thomas. An essential over the coming months!

Review: There has been talk of this follow up collaboration for sometime, not just in the dance press with media across the globe. As the original superstar DJ joins forces with legendary 80's popstar Matt Goss (from Bross), following on from 2010's 'Firefly'. With a new alias now pinned 'The Concrete Sneakers', is this the sign of an album project from the pair? We're not sure, but what we do know is 'Touch The Sky' has plenty of crossover potential, while its club appeal is undeniable, it carries a daytime radio sound that could see it go all the way. For the club DJs its all about Dutchman Disfunktion, who turns it into a peak-time floor winner. Flesh & Bones cut is also well worth a spin!

Review: 2012 has been the year that Paul Oakenfolds pioneering Perfecto label has come back to the forefront. Partly due to being taken under the Armada wing, but mainly the plethora of new talent they are unearthing. The music policy is as refreshing as always and here they venture back to one of their biggest records of 1995, the crossover smash 'Papa's Got a Brand New Pig Bag'. First up on the mix is Marco V who strips it back to bare essentials and adds a tougher edge, taking away some of the gimmick of the sample. In contrast and if you want the party vibe Flesh & Bones embrace the original elements, horns and all. Carnival vibes that will no doubt once again set the floors alight.

Review: Oakenfold's legendary Perfecto label joined the Armada empire this year, and in doing so they have really upped their game and release rate. This latest featuring the man himself on the remix, could well be contender for their biggest of 2012. Having already garnered chart success across South America in its Original form, Oakie adds trancier synth lines, dramatic twists and turns and his all-round flawless dance-floor power, creating a stadium sound that has travelled the world with him over the past months. Turn it up loud, the vocal will be flying around inside your head for days!

Review: It takes allot for a record label to remain relevant for well over a decade but with Paul Oakenfold at the helm it's no surprise Perfecto have done just that. In recent times looking to new talent, such as Michael S who here follows his 'Mark Me Down' single from last year. Another big vocal, that may be marmite to some people.. Although, we are loving it and out of the quality selection of remixes we are leaning towards Sawb & Joey Mova's cut for its cross-genre appeal, and it your wanting to smash something out a little heavier and destructive look no further than the hotly tipped D.O.D, packed with an electro meets tech trance punch that will lift any set to full-fire!!
