Review: Pick The Lock have picked up a real weapon with this new Error drop, unleashing six serious sizzlers for ravers nationwide. Opening up with the quirky synth cricks of the title track 'Hide N Seek', the project's mood is set very quickly, with 'Bounce' then providing a slippery squelch through varying styles of drum rhythm and 'MWARE' seeing Fenix join the party for some abstract production additions. From here, 'Vibe' amps up the pressure with a serious gnarly chopper, followed by 'Night', which sees Foe get involved for another unpredictable showcasing of unique bass design. Finally, a more traditional raver's roller as 'Together' fuses icey synth leads with a catchy vocal sample for a vibrant finale indeed.

Review: Everyone's favourite petty pilferer Nick The Lot returns with four more brazen, unapologetic bangers. Each one as scatty as the next, it's Nick in fiery and ferocious form as he tears us limb from limb with his sandpaper funk basslines. 'Roll Through' is all about his oddball funk, 'Gravitational Pull' is a straight up face-melter with its harrowed revving sounds and 'Above A Storm' is a trippy bouncy jam that kicks with a lot of breezy spring. Last but not least we have 'Take Our Time' which could be Nick's most far-out joint so far. Sensual but in all the strangest ways, it could be one of Nick's most definitive tunes so far.

Review: Flex those Ds to get your Ps: Nicholas 'The' Lock fires up his Pick The Lock label once again, this time inviting D Flex round for some mischief. First up in this festival of grotty basslines and murky merrymaking comes 'Rasta Lion' with Magenta. Full strength and both smellier and hookier than a fisherman's pocket, it sets the tone and energy for the whole EP. Elsewhere things get steamy on 'Turn Me On', things get so heavy, gritty and grotty on '911' we have to call the emergency services while 'Pull It' slaps us silly with a wide range of croaky flavours with absolutely no apology. Review: Lock down your aerials (literally, he'll half inch them otherwise), Nick The Lot is back with his cronies, the conquistadors of contraband, dishing out some serious naughties like 'Crystal', a sci-fi take on jump-up that's artfully restrained, or 'Bubbling'. A rattlesnake banger from NTL himself - it's a springy sledgehammer of energy. There's some proper backdoor action going down elsewhere, too... Metal Work's on some next level space invader riffage, Pengo & Shifu get groovy with a nicely funky/ euphoric build-up, StillZ brings some super chubby 4x4 pumpage (and a really cool switch) and Jenks and SKPY bring some 23rd century sleaze into the mix. Next level business, the real crime here would be to sleep on these.

Review: Don't ask us how Teezy's managed to get trapped on a label that can apparently pick any lock but these are the type of messed up times in which we live. Luckily the music is just as messed up; 'Trapped' itself is an oscillating freak-out where a whole weave of basslines twist and turn into each other while 'Hold Up' is all about the loose, flabby bassline and swaggering beats. Elsewhere 'Sense' purrs into action with menacing charm before 'Malfunction' closes the EP with the most off-beat textures and fluctuations of the release.
