Review: Mateo Dufour hails from Argentina and runs a number of his own labels but here finds himself on Politics Of Dancing with an irresistible new EP. It's direct to dancefloor business from the off with the bristling drums and perc powering along 'Let Yourself Go' beneath snatched vocal yelps. There is just as much silvery metallic texture on show in 'Power Of Them', a jacked-up house sound with more vocal encouragement and neon melodic phrases panning about the mix. 'Dashed Street' is a third and final steel-plated house cut before cultured Frenchman D'Julz remixes 'Dashed Street' into a smoother tech house cruiser.

Review: Over the last few years, Dublin-based Andrew Azara has quietly built a catalogue full of high-quality releases for the likes of Swerve Digital, Likeminded and MicroHertz. Because of this, it's little surprise to find that his latest missive - his first for French producer Politics of Dancing's popular imprint - is also a winner. He begins in fine fashion with 'There Comes a Time', a groovy and immersive deep house roller rich in addictive synth-bass, spacey chords, sustained synth-strings and short vocal snippets, before embracing a more classical, sun-splashed U.S deep house sound on 'Echos' [sic]. Arguably best of all, though, is the gorgeously hypnotic, tactile, colourful and loved-up goodness of future deep house classic 'Frontline'.

Look In Your Eyes (Cosenza remix) - (6:09) 127 BPM
Review: The ever wonderful Politics Of Dancing come with five remixes of label stalwart Tommy Vicari Jnr jumping, pumping house stormer 'Look I Your Eyes', each carefully crafted to cover slightly different areas of the dancefloor. The Silverlining Night dub remix takes pride of placer, a mix of two halves for sure - it starts of all full pelt, adds a subtle layer of disco-style strings and then drops to a dramatic breakdown before re-building brick by brick. Josh Baker's version has a slightly 80s feel with its mechanised handclaps and swooping synths wrapped in echoey vocals, the Lowris mix is arguably the most no nonsense, straight ahead thumper and then we're left to luxuriate in the sumptuous ooze of Cosenza's dub house re-reub, taking us all the way back to the days of Guerrilla at their height. Capital! Don't skip the Josh Baker remix No Pads, a special additon for the digital release.

Review: Another pumping package from Politics Of Dancing, with original tracks from the eponymous label boss with Ray Mono, and a pair of remixes from Cab Drivers and Cuartero respectively to boot. You know what to expect - smooth pads, subtle acid squelch and wriggling, irresistible teccy beats, relentless and super-playable, but with an ear for detail that makes sure they stay fresh right to the runout groove.

Look In Your Eyes (Sweely remix) - (5:22) 130 BPM
Look In Your Eyes (Politics Of Dancing & Djebali remix) - (7:44) 125 BPM Hot
Review: Sheffield based Tommy Vicari Jnr's chunky, tribal and vocal house tune 'Look In Your Eyes' has been big ever since it surfaced in 2004, and it still gets great crowd reactions to this day. Politics Of Dancing now re-issue it with a fine selection of new remixes. The original still sounds future with its silky synths and metallic drums, and the bassline really is killer. Silverlining steps up with a 90's house version that is all slick electronic funk. Sweely then speeds it up further, allowing the original vocal to really tug at the heart strings. Politics Of Dancing & Djebali link for a final stripped down version that is deep as you like.

Review: Classy as funk French house straight outta Paris. Delivering music made to be danced to somewhere in the early hours on a Seine River barge - may we firstly introduce the undeniable bassline of Nicola Brusegan's "Wallet". With tougher drums and acid tracks coming through Sebo K's contribution in "Spellbound", that classic lounge and jazzy vibe hits all the right spots in James Dexter & Jack Swift's "No Limits". Keeping it deeper yet minimal and techy is M-High's "They Shifted Left", next to some dubbed out heat in Boris Werner's "Move The System". For the funky sample heads out there look to some sweet licks by Madvilla and D-SKO - with some precision club heat from your label boss & co, Politics Of Dancing & Capeesh Society. Club music for days.

Review: Politics Of Dancing is back with a collaborative EP from Stephan Bazbaz and Alessio Viggiano. Bazbaz has previously been spotted working alongside the likes of Djebali and Litmus, while Alessio Viggiano comes fresh from a sterling EP on discotech Wax. Between them, the pair whip up a tough and forthright strain of tech house which favours the peak time. There's a melodious undercurrent to 'Mogora', but 'Immortal' makes things clear as day with a tough, unrelenting drum section offset by plush synths.

Part one features rising Romanian duo NTFO opening up with the deep and airy groove of "Twisted Fury", local legend Chris Carrier appears with the funky microhouse of "Half Faces", while the label head honcho himself teams up with Olivier Romero on the trippy afterhours joint "Countdown" and scene stalwart Ray Mono delivers rolling and hypnotic tech house just the way you like it on "Lockdown".

Bout That Time (original mix) - (6:39) 125 BPM
Bout That Time (Alessio Viggiano remix) - (6:32) 129 BPM
Review: Politics Of Dancing is back with more groovy, bumpin' and surefire house on the Camille EP. In its original form, the title track is what you'd expect of the French producer with its bass-driven hypnotic splendour, which is perfect tackle for the warm up or afterhours. Speaking of the latter time slot, you can always count on Berlin veteran Hans Schaaf aka DJ Honesty to do it right. His deep, dubby and emotive rework really hits the spot. Interestingly enough, the second original offering on here titled "Bout That Time" is very much reminiscent of Schaaf's output on the seminal Cabinet Records, and it too gets the remix treatment by Neapolitan DJ Alessio Viggiano taking it into UK tech house territory.

Review: It's over to Deco boss Manuel De Lorenzi from Italy, who follows up up a great one recently on Deeperfect to inaugurate Politics Of Dancing's new digital sub label. The tough rolling minimal tech house of "Seguitemi" will hypnotise you into submission from the first beat (it also receives a groovy and hypnotic rework by the label boss himself at the end) while the afterhours is catered for on the sensual deep house vibe of "Looking At You" and on "Like The Stars" De Lorenzi channels the feelgood energy of late '90s funky house.

Acid Shuffle (Diego Krause remix) - (6:29) 126 BPM
Review: Italian producer St David has spent the past few years issuing some serious house tackle for the likes of Quality Vibe, Let's Play House and Theory Of Swing, and now he's up on Politics Of Dancing with some of his strongest jams to date. "Mind Power" is a driving peak time bomb with a lofty sense of spirituality lingering behind the thump of the drums. "Get Deepy" is unsurprisingly geared towards a mellower time of the night, but it's no slouch in the groove department. This is a Politics Of Dancing record after all. "Acid Shuffle" keeps the shimmering pads and marries them to a vintage drum machine jack, which Diego Krause reworks into a wholly different kind of tripped-out house wobbler.

Review: Politics Of Dancing continues celebrating its fifth anniversary with a cast of crucial house warriors keeping the flame burning bright. First up is Chris Stussy, who whips up an especially funky concoction with the bubbling "Monday 8th", before DJOKO and T Jacques dub things out in style with the swirling but thumping "Directions". The ever-prolific Michael James appears with "Solstice", a mystically tinged deep house bumper laden with zippy sound FX and sprinkled with subtly swung groove. Jamahr completes the set with "Underwater", a deep immersion bath of sound that edges towards classic techno while keeping the groove on the straight and narrow.

Review: French house vet DJ Freddy steps up on Politics Of Dancing with a surefire party starter with "Emergency Delivery". From the disco blips to the snappy vocal slices, it's everything a peak time belter should be, marking the seasoned producer's first trip out in nearly 10 years in style. Archie Hamilton steps up for a sophisticated remix that subtly dubs out the original, while the Politics Of Dancing crew turn in a version that strips everything back to the rhythm core with a mean acid rub tooled up for the deeper end of the dance.

Review: Parisian pair Politics of Dancing have decided to celebrate the 5th birthday of their namesake record label by release a string of EPs containing unheard tracks from friends and contemporaries. Naturally they feature on "Part 1" with "Peace", a deliciously deep early morning workout that wraps dreamy pads and dubbed-out synthesizer riffs around an especially huggable electronic groove. There are naturally plenty of highlights elsewhere across the EP though. Check first Boris Werner's "Omar Coming", a chugging and bass-heavy affair rich in mind-altering electronic effects, funky bass and layered percussion, before gaping in wonder at the New York, mid-1990s vibes of Djebali and Stephan Bazbaz's "J'Adore". The contribution by Rowlandz, a thickset number that matches a chunky groove with jaunty Clavinet stabs and electric piano flourishes, is also luscious.

Review: French label Politics Of Dancing are back celebrating three years in the business (already!) with great releases by the likes of Lopaski, Carlos Sanchez and Two Diggers of Robsoul fame. There's a great cast on here to celebrate, with legends new school and old alike. Franck Roger's soulful, deep and uplifting "Night To Live", Berlin young gun Nick Beringer's deep swing on "Juicy Lucy", London underground hero James Barnsley's "Play The Game" and Senzala's "Spiral" too: which channels the early noughties tech house vibe of local legends D'julz or David Duriez. And there are many more highlights where they came from. Congrats!
