BLK - (5:02)
122 BPM Review: Brooklyn upstart producer Eric Brody aka Sol Aire makes a pretty outstanding debut channelling the vibes of mid to late noughties deep house that appeared on Freerange, Compost Black or Innervisions. "Rouge" is a dreamy and mesmerising deep groove with high production values that you could imagine Dixon playing back in the day. "BLK" gets a bit more upfront and melancholic; this is deep house done proper in the tradition of Swiss guys like Agnes and Quarion. But "Mind" is the real stomper on here; a fierce 130 BPM workout for peak time moments with a booming 808 led groove, all swirling pads and layers of house vocals that will make any crowd lose their minds. Finally more timeless and bittersweet deep house on "Slip46" reminiscent of the classic Guidance Records sound. Promising stuff!
