Review: Mr Absolutt is not the most prolific of producers, though his slim-ish discography does boast appearances on Midnight Riot, Rare Wiri, Disco Fruit and Ganbatte. Here he returns to his own Pushing Hands imprint with two subtly tooled-up edits that are well worth a listen. Title track "Boogie Friends Boogie Nights" is particularly potent, with soulful male vocals and rubbery slap-bass leaping above a rich 1980s electrofunk/disco backing track peppered with dub delays and filter sweeps. "Single Handed" sees him cheerily skip towards '80s soul territory with a sparkling, synth-heavy re-edit of a female-voiced Solar System style workout.
