Review: On "State Farm", hard working cosmic disco veteran Marco Dionigi is joined in the studio by fellow producer Simon Faz and vocalist Dany L. The fruits of their labours are clear to see on Dionigi's opening "Elektro Mix" [sic], which sounds like a thrusting fusion of vintage Visage, druggy Italo-disco and classic Crazy P. Faz draws further on the latter influence on his fine, funk-fuelled "Nu-Disco Remix", while the legendary Daniele Baldelli joins forces with Dionigi to deliver a fantastic Afro-cosmic interpretation. Stephan Barnam's version is dusty, dark and stylish - very Visage - while Dionigi's "Funky Mix" turns the track into a jaunty chunk of disco-funk cheeriness with occasional nods towards analogue Italo-disco. In other words, it's a very strong package.
