Sound In Noise & Insct - "Give It All" - (3:44) 172 BPM
Believe In Monsters - (4:07) 174 BPM
Sugar Rush - (5:25) 174 BPM
Yo - (5:47) 174 BPM Hot
Review: It's time to throw some 'Shapes' once again! Estonian badman Sound In Noise returns to Ram Records with the third part of his series and it's drama from the off as we're thrown into his widest soundscape to date. 'Give It All' hits like an early Wilkinson track, all star-lit synths striking back and forth theatrically, 'Believe In Monsters' hits with serious dancefloor impact, all sledgehammer kicks and squelchy Delta Heavy-style basses, 'Sugar Rush' hits like it's 2005 all over again while 'Yo' closes the EP with Sound In Noise's most epic track to date. Feel those synths creeping under every morsel of your skin then reload and do it all over again. Get in shape.

DC Breaks & Niara Scarlett - "Get Down [Liquid Mix]" (feat Niara Scarlett) - (4:33) 174 BPM
Review: DC Breaks haven't released an album since 2017, which feels like a million years ago even if it isn't, so this LP is a very special occasion indeed. It's classic DC Breaks and the duo are back on top form, as DCXV rolls out with aplomb across a broad range of clubland flavours including features from Eve Lazarus, Coppa and Niara Scarlett. It's the first track that really has us taken, as euphoric piano chords build delightfully through vocal samples and serious suspense, and the release when it comes is pure, octane-driven drum & bass of the best kind. There is dirty neurofunk on 'Club Thug', slower breaks work on 'Get Down' and much more. Big ups.

Smooth - "Airpod" - (5:01) 172 BPM
Smooth & Dread MC - "Strictly Vibes" (feat Dread MC) - (3:57) 174 BPM Hot
Smooth - "Grains" - (4:28) 172 BPM
Review: Welcome to "Funk Town" a civilised utopia where the streets are lined with pure bounce, everyone dances with each other to say hello and man like Smooth is president. Leading with a sound and an energy that could smash down walls (rather than build them, like other presidents) it's another ball-busting affair from the Slovenian veteran where highlights include the tear-out gully of "Strictly Vibes", the warm disco-fied bounce of "Funk Town" and the strange wriggly synth squiggles of "Grains". Make yourself at home.

Till Dawn
Till Dawn - (4:35) 174 BPM
Review: Woi and indeed oi, Wembley-smashing Ram Raider Andy C returns with his first tune in almost two years... And it's a bit of a sizzler. Going right back to his Nightlife 1 / 2 roots, at the peak of his tenure at The End, "Til Dawn" is a funky rough-house roll-out loaded with a few cult samples, some pristine slap bass work and a proper fuzzy sense of grit. Heads down business all the way, there's a strong case to say this is his best tune in over a decade.

Ruckus
Ruckus - (3:48) 174 BPM
Review: The vibes are lit. Not our words, but the words of Mr Tarantula himself MC Spyda. And who are we to argue? Last spotted cavorting with BCUK as part of the Rawhill Crew on "Mo Fire" 16 years ago, the OG MC returns to finish the job on the fittingly titled "Ruckus". Bringing us one banger closer to their long-awaited album Ice Station Zero, it tips its cap to the hazardous dynamics of jump-up with a hornet's nest bassline and a relentless energy. They're big bad men, can you handle it?

Decompression
Decompression - (4:29) 174 BPM Hot
Review: After touring the world and solidifying himself amongst modern drum & bass royalty, Wilkinson is back with another incredible single, this time entitled 'Decompression'. It's pretty clear we've all come to expect nothing but the best from the London based man, and yet again he's delivered. This track is fuelled by high pressure chord-like stabs doubled up with rolling subs and wailing synth patterns, designed to convert any dancefloor into an immediate ruckus.

Lost
Lost - (3:47) 174 BPM
Review: Original Sin on Ram Records! No one saw this coming but if you know anything about the G Dub co-founder, you'll know he's never short of surprises. Switching his heavier, hurly-burly side for something a lot more sensual and sunset, he hooks up with rising pop sensation BB Diamond for "Lost", a scorching end-of-night sing-along that's reminiscent of Wilkinson's "Afterglow" in its unabashed positivity and feels. Lighters up!

Let You Go
Let You Go - (3:44) 174 BPM
Review: You never know what you're going to get when Rene rocks upside your rig with a fresh new jam. But whether it melts your emotions, your face or your feet you always know it's going to knock you sideways. Case in point: this hefty one-tracker with prominent house vocalist Jareth. Igniting with an almost soulful touch, it soon launches into space with an emphatic rising riff and a swell of evocative feels that's barbed enough to keep it real and hard-hitting. You're not going to want to let go of this one in a hurry (not sorry)

Primal Fire
Primal Fire - (4:46) 174 BPM
Review: The BCUK machines are still just warming up. Having catapulted their project back into the game last year with "Equilibrium", they've casually dropped a modest handful of face-melting one-trackers; "Nomad", "Tetris" and now "Primal Fire". Igniting with more evocative orchestral motifs, we're suddenly dropped into a tense vocal section with the powerful dulcets of Sitka before a bassline sweeps us off our feet in an absolute electrified frenzy. Gnarly, rasping and dark to its core, the fire here is very much real.

Neverwhere
Neverwhere - (5:21) 174 BPM
Review: Ed Rush & Audio... Do drum & bass collaborations come with much more clout? No. No they don't. And tracks like "Neverwhere" prove why. Dynamic, fluid, twisted yet funkier than your old school photo, it's got everything that's great about this music... Subtlety yet viciousness, iciness yet warmth and equal levels of groove and science. Reminiscent of the late 90s fusion but with much more weight and weirdness, Killbox are making genuinely unique records right now.

Skuttle
Skuttle - (4:28) 174 BPM
Review: Skuttle: the type of shifty walk you might do if you've broken something and wish to remain anonymous, or you've just said something inappropriate to a colleague or family member and you use a diversion to get away. It's also the type of walk you do when you leave the DJ box after dropping insane bangers like these to avoid every hassling you asking what the hell just blew their minds. Absolute next levelism from Ram's rising star Frankee; this combines techno and drum & bass at a level that very few artists have managed. TIP!

Give Yourself - (4:08) 174 BPM
Review: Give yourself to Loadstar. It's an order. Not from us, but from the big guys themselves. Gotta take the rough with the smooth though, right? Last time they showered us with "Diamonds", now they're arresting our very senses with the dark art of modern jungle gully. Steppy, switchy, tribal, weird, brutal, eye-poppingly sick - there are many ways to describe this awesome record. One of Loadstar's best right here.

Slither - (4:57) 174 BPM
Review: After being catapulted into the big league stratosphere with a full album as a debut release, Bensley returns with his first new material since last year's "Outsider" and "One Last Chance". Creepy, evocative and coded with that dreamy, filmic narrative he's made his own, "Slither" comprises layers of melody and atmosphere over one of the darkest underbellies he's constructed to date. Album number two soon come...

Blown
Blown - (4:11) 172 BPM
Review: Holy moly! Calyx & Teebee aren't messing around this year are they? Demolishing everything in their wake with firing one-track scuds since February, "Ruffian" "Scaramanga" and "Conquest" have seen the duo going back to their underground, roughhouse roots in three rowdy different ways. Now comes "Blown", a rampant electrified sandpaper jam that sounds similar to early BSE or Stakka & Skynet but with C&T-level production flexing. Techy heads-down body-slamming bliss... Prepare to be blown away (not sorry)

Clickbait - (5:16) 174 BPM
Review: Two of drum & bass's most respected and heaviest producers Ed Rush & Audio have conjoined to form some type of messed up 2017 neuro Voltron in the form of Killbox. Following their debut EP earlier this year they enlist the cyber-vox skills of RymeTyme, one of the genre's most iconic MCs. Between them they create a roaring, fugly, gritty lash-out called "Clickbait". You'll never guess what happens next....

Review: Hello is that the police? Good. We'd like to report some absolute murderation! The culprits are A.M.C and Turno and they've left the scene of the crime in a bit of mess; amens, bass subversions, drama and bloodshed everywhere, "Vendetta" will never be the same again. Review: Boom: Frankee's just opened a whole can of Ram whoop-ass and everyone is invited. His debut album, Sanctuary is a clear love letter to drum & bass as he takes us on a cosmic trip through the emotional and dynamic highs and lows of the genre. From the young Sub Focus-style whirlwind of the title track to the immense technoid brain-melter "Skuttle" via the cinematic theatre of "Think For Yourself", the tripletty swing and tense narrative of "Dead Head" and care-free rippage of "Real DJ", this is Frankee at his most wide-armed and accomplished. There's a reason Ram signed him from the get-go. Immense.

Ruffian
Ruffian - (4:12) 172 BPM
Review: The mighty Calyx & Teebee return with their first new Ram tracks since their album 1x1 last year. Taking a step back from the heavier, full-frontal sounds they're famed for, "Ruffian" takes us back to their time on Moving Shadow with twisted, heavily-sprung jungle fire - all spaced out drums and textural trippiness that's not dissimilar to Dub Phizix or Skeppy-style track. Just one track for now... We're excited to see where the premiership duo is taking us this year.

Review: Four years after Future Perfect, Ram's mighty Loadstar return with their second album I Need The Night. Has the wait been worth it? Of course it has. If anything, this is better than their debut due to its consistency and arrangement. With much more of a flow and dynamic, the duo previously known as Xample & Lomax, showcase their finest skills with a sense of boldness and breadth; from the all-out jump-up assault "All Junglists" and the brutal "Give Yourself" to the gospel-level soul burner "Walking On Water" and soft focus dreamer "Diamonds", this is Loadstar at their most confident and consistent, operating with total clarity.

Squeegee - (5:20) 174 BPM
Review: Piledriving us into the new year with full steam sonics, Rene follows "Richter Scale" with two more precision constructions. "Sound Barrier" is power punch of pure bass physicality with full emphasis on a broadsword bass that cuts through everything in a 10-mile radius while "Squeegee" takes us on a slightly deeper trip with soaring synths and two bass textures - one that sends you to the stars and a wobble that keeps your feet on the ground. What a way to start a new year.

Bar Fight
Bar Fight - (3:29) 87 BPM
Review: Throughout the last three years, the Delta Heavy coalition has been at the forefront of the mighty Ram's new sound. Once known as a label pushing the most futuristic strains of jungle and drum&bass, Andy C's imprint now focusses on provocative bass music of any kind, whether that's more on the dubstep-end of even back into d&b. "Bar Fight", for instance, is a tune that does both, kicking off with a placid half-step groove, and morphing into a straight-up-jump-up lick, backed by gruesome level of squealing bass and hard-hitting semi-breaks. A kick though the front door, and more.

Pandemic - (4:38) 174 BPM
Review: Yet more proof that 2016 has been the craziest year this century: Culture Shock is on his third release of the year! Having appeared on Ram's 100th release then his "Transit" EP he's back to shut down the year with two more two more signature feels-heavy blazers. "Have It All" takes off where "City Lights" left us - all spaced-out cosmic soul with glistening metallic bass and sensual vocal vapour trails. "Pandemic" shows of his edgier side with a techno-like tightly-plucked riff and rise through the scales into oblivion. Both sides covered, both sides smashed, Culture Shock has been in fine fettle this year.

Review: Back in the building! BCUK warned us they were packing heat.... And here it is. Most should be familiar with their agenda-setting comeback track "Equilibrium" from earlier this year with its cinematic strings, second drop and gutter-scraping bass. If you've caught one of their rare shows this year you'll also be aware of "Nomad". Soaring, electrifying, soulful and textured with just a smidgeon of air-guitar magic, it's an immaculate composition that shows the foursome aren't back for cashback nostalgic whimsy - they have their eyes on the future. Immense.

The euphoric piano-slapping power of "Never Stop" sets the scene as the duo explore the vibrant and creative contrast they've made their signature in the last 10 years. Highlights include the shred-stacked "Underground", the croaking highly-sprung aggy "Hustle", the neuro-inspired roof-burner "Organism" and the touching vocal closer "Time To Kill". Complete with 2017 reboots of their anthems "Gambino and "Swag", the Ram duo have wrapped up a bonafide opus.

Review: The Prodigy getting remixed by Bad Company on Ram Records: It doesn't get any more heavyweight than this. Sizzling and spiking out with a 1.21 gigawatt electric bass force, all ravaged and unkempt, the awesome foursome give an already ruthlessly frantic and punk-like track a whole new dimension of energy. June Miller - "The Promise Ring" - (3:43) 172 BPM
Review: Just when the world needs it, June Miller have brought out the good china to serve up some of the most unpredictable drum & bass on the market. "Saus" grabs, kicks and screams its way into the EP, taking down all production common sense as it goes - as you'd expect from a pairing with Mefjus. Teaming up with Anouk Visee T and Sugah, "Ups & Downs" shows a smoother side to the pair. Like the rest of the EP the title track is immaculately produced, but in ways it stands out thanks to its subtlety. Abandoning the attack, it swells and sweeps through synth-built atmospheres like a true thing of beauty. 2015's first must-have EP.

Review: Culture Shock is back! It's been a long time since we heard original material from one of the most respected producers in the scene, but the wait - as always - has been worth it. "Raindrops" is straight out of the movies; all epic and hopeful but barbed with a gritty low end, it's Culture Shock at his most narrative and playful. Flip for a VIP of one of his biggest tracks to date "Troglodyte". Techno a la D&B, here he's taken the well known stomp and added a few cheeky twists and head nods that will please all fans from all corners. Welcome back Sir Shock, don't leave it so long next time!

Fire / Be There
Fire - (4:06) 174 BPM Hot
Be There - (4:35) 174 BPM
Review: Get ready because Hamilton won't send out a warning before "Fire" destroys you. Blistering and bubbling as it tears through years of D&B influences in a matter of moments, it's a fast-paced ride and a half and there's no way to stop it. You might as well join with the flames. On the other side of the coin however, "Be There" is an altogether different kettle of fish. Stepping and squirming like a jacknifing juggernaut, it's a completely mad combination of boisterous bass and blissful, Nintendo-esque, melodies. There might even be a bit of mellow old Daft Punk vibe in there for good measure. Hear it and believe.

High Groove
High Groove - (5:53) 174 BPM Hot
Summit - (5:31) 174 BPM
Goodbye Groove - (6:59) 168 BPM
Review: Brand new to Ram Records last year, Chords cut a niche for himself from the off with his unique way of attacking melodies and textures. High Groove represents his first EP for the label, picking out his style in sharp relief against a backdrop of stylish drum & bass. Title track "High Grooves" builds and builds. Pushing through top-end sounds with a big, fuzzy bassline, it's crisp clear and beautiful, like sky above clouds. Continuing the high-energy feel, "Summit" ramps up techy melodies in irregular structures which gradually come together piece by piece to form a fresh, tweaked rollout. "Goodbye Groove" leans on housey beats, rolling out to a hands-in-the air bassline made for midnight celebrations. There's no stopping this guy.

Review: The D&B superstars from Bristol - the undeniable spiritual homeland of UK dance music - are back, and they've brought out the big guns. This time they aren't going heavy. There's no 'go hard or go home' here, as wilderness sound effects make way for deep lyrics and a spine-tingling bassline to match. "Under Pressure" on the other hand is a guns blazing dancefloor smasher. We knew they wouldn't hold out on us for long. Packing some serious weight behind heavy bass and hard-stepping beats, there's no doubt this tune will be one of this year's biggest anthems. Pick it up now and stay ahead of the game.

Gambino / Burning
Gambino - (4:04) 174 BPM Hot
Burning - (4:45) 175 BPM
Review: Dan Havers and Chris Page have been busy lads over the past couple of years, working with some of the dance world's biggest stars, but they've come back to hit hard on home label Ram Records with their latest offering. Techy and disgraceful with a relentless beat, title track "Gambino" is one ruthless crowd-pleaser. "Burning" meanwhile is a burst of high-energy drum & bass switched up through euphoric vocals and the type of build-up usually reserved for packed main rooms and insane strobe action. Driven and devastating, if you like your D&B to raise the roof, get your mitts around this little beauty.

Review: The beast has landed! Ram Records' most important releases in recent times, the pioneering label celebrate quarter of a century with this insane collection of 25 seminal cuts and 17 selected reversions. Roots and future all in check, every cut reminds why Ram and its founder Andy C have the status they do in drum & bass. Total Science's tasteful jazz touches on "Cool Down", Metrik's growling Aston Martin style rebuild of "X-Ray", Bladerunner's precision update on "Quest", Shimon's personal update on his and Andy's "Night Flight", Chase & Status's elephantine shake-up of "Valley Of The Shadows". We're just listing perfect remixes for the sake of it now... You already know how big a deal this is.
