Review: Although his music has always been blessed with an inherent soulfulness, it's only in recent years that Martin Iveson AKA Atjazz has moved more enthusiastically towards expressively soulful and vocal house. 'Home', a collaboration with effortlessly soulful vocalist Shea Soul, may well be his strongest soulful deep house outing yet. The vocal mix, which is available in extended and edit variations, is seriously seductive, with simmering strings, twinkling electric piano motifs and Shea Soul's superb lead vocal rising above a tactile deep house groove. The quality of Iveson's drum programming, music and arrangements naturally comes to the fore on the accompanying instrumental take.
