Review: Sometime Sosilly Edits and Sweat Club contributor Jerk Boy is back on Refuge Recordings for the first time in three years, and this time he's got Chicago house legend Mike Dunn in tow. What's on offer is three reworks of the pair's collaborative cut, 'Keep It On'. Dutch duo T.U.R.F step up first, offering a rolling, bass-heavy and chunky house revision that makes the most of Dunn's spoken word vocal and some tidy guitar samples. Ben Gomori opts for a swinging, loose-limbed and bumpin' four-four UK garage revision that benefits greatly from jazzy synth riffs and deep sub bass, while Kristin Velvet offers up a revision rooted in the jacking drum machine rhythms, wiggling TB-303 acid sounds and heavy bass of vintage Chicago house.
