Review: Following its first three EPs, the Rex club's label offshoot puts its focus one of its resident DJs. Electric Rescue aka Antoine Husson has an extensive catalogue to his credit, including two artist albums. The title track is sure to draw comparisons with Inigo Kennedy as a buzzing, noisy bass underpins tranced out synth melodies. It's a powerful, rousing affair. "Padvo" sees him opt for a different tact; while the rhythm is driving, the central organ riff combined with metallic percussion make it reminiscent of the harder end of the Bodycode sound. On the other hand, "Subway" is a merciless, metallic banger. Add in a tracky, percussive take on "Padvo" by Marcelus, who got his musical education in the Rex, and you've got a fitting tribute to this French institution.
