Review: Ukrainian producer and Kashtan Records boss Vera Logdanidi impresses here with a four-track EP that sits right on the cusp between deep house and deep/dub/minimal techno. 'Banksia' is up first, a warm, dense and shuffly affair that could even find its way into the very deepest of prog sets. 'Root System' totes its dub influences more proudly with its ultra-sparse, echoing production, while 'Essence' is groovier, funkier and generally leans more towards deep house in feel. Finally, Claudio PRC's stripped-back remix of the title cut ditches the prog-like fluffiness and will be best served to locked-on, very late floors.
