Review: Catalonian DJ/producer Undo has been surprisingly quiet of late, with his only release of note being a 2018 EP containing other producers' remixes of his work. In fact, this outing on Roam Recordings marks the Barcelona-based veteran's first new material for almost two years. There's a decidedly druggy and psychedelic feel to both "Bird Without Wings" and "Espacio Sideral", with Undo peppering simple but tough drum patterns with a variety of analogue-sounding synthesizer motifs and thrusting, arpeggio-style bass. The accompanying remixes are great, too. First Ringpolar turns "Bird Without Wings" into a mind-altering pitched-down chugger of the sort that should delight Andrew Weatherall, before Curses re-imagines "Espacio Sideral" as an acid-driven chunk of dancefloor-focused dark synth-pop brilliance.
