Starting its life as a record store and mail order service in 1997, Rush Hour flourished a couple of years later into a label in 1999. Based in Amsterdam, the label has been a welcoming platform for artists like Hunee, Tom Trago, KiNK, Moodymann, Carl Craig, Ron Trent and Leon Vynehall to conjure up an electronic groove coined as: ‘The Rush Hour Flavour’. This ‘Flavour’ can be heard in a sparkling spectrum of genres including house, disco, techno, breakbeat and more. The label is now owned by Antal Heitlager aka DJ Antal who originally co-founded Rush Hour with Christiaan Macdonald. Sub-labels include Beat Dimensions and Disco3000.
