Review: There are very few times where you produce a tune that doesn't fade away or become tired. A man who never seems to do anything but this is Matt Darey, and for his latest on S107 he looks back to 2009's enchanting vocal winner 'See The Sun' (originally under his Urban Astronauts guise, of course). The glorious musical elements of the original and Kate Louise Smiths stunning vocal are still in tact, as Egyptian Hazen Beltagui manages to capture the original essence and emotion whilst bringing a fresher proggy edge, bang up to date for the floors of now. See it more as a fresh lick of paint rather than a whole new trakc. If you want a bit more energy and punch Toby Hedges delivers on both counts with his cut, while completing the package is yet another faultless production from that Russian pair Moonbeam.

Review: Malta's national hero's Tenishia are without doubt one of the most consistent producers in trance, with a refined progressive sound that manages t to carry all emotion and energy of uplifting trance. Lifted from their brilliant 'Memory of A Dream' album, this is the latest collaboration alongside Armada's Ruben de Ronde (following on from 'Marsascala', 'Story of Life'). This time round in the vocal booth is Shannon Hurley who delivers a real show stopping, pulling at the heatstrings and instantly sticking in the mind. The star remix come from competition winner Toby Hedges, adding even more warmth (if that was possible), also check out the Big Room and Flastech remixes.

Review: Dutchman Marc Simz is a man who is truly on the up of late, bubbling away under the surface for the past couple of years, it seems 2012 is going to be his year... especially with tunes like this. Having found a fitting home at Black Hole, he follows up Aerofoil collab 'Blikkenslager' with this killer vocal trancer 'This Is Love'. Featuring a new talent it Naomi Striemer, the production is as slick as ever, with plenty of room being left amongst the stunning melodies for Naomi's vocals to shine through and take centre stage... Hands in the air moment for sure!!

Review: One of our favourite labels under the ever expanding Armada empire is S107, the progressive imprint home to the likes of Tenishia, Dark Matters, and of course Beat Service who follow 'Cut & Run' and 'Not Out' with another wonderful vocal led number featuring Gemma Pavlovic. The quality of the song-writing as always with these guys is at the very core. With Gemma's lines and vocal deliver creating the very essence which their silky smooth melodies unwind around. For us it is hard to make the call on the Original or Sunn Jellie's subtle yet stunning alternative...Dive in and see what you think!!

Review: With a host of timeless gems holding pride of place in the trace hall of fame, it would be all to easy for someone of Matt Darey's stature to slow down.. There is clearly no chance of that anytime soon as with 'Hold Your Breath' he is back with the biggest tune in some time. Featuring Leah on vocals duties (the essence of all Darey's biggest moments), it is khoMa and David Forbes who both do the damage on their respected remixes with an added punch and attitude to make it a floor winner as well as spine tingler!

Review: Lost Witness is a name that stands in the trance hall of fame, responsible for some of the biggest tracks from the golden era (Happiness Happening, 7 Colours, Did I Dream). Although the productions have been flowing over the past couple of years, they have largely steered away from that crossover edge of old. This bucks the trend however, featuring a hooky topline from Sarah Jane which is instantly memorable with the same 'transfer to radio' potential past anthems carried. Purists fear not, as the Antillas & Dankann remix strips it back with plenty of power for the floors.

Malta's leading electronic duo Tenishia lock horns with Armada a&r Ruben De Ronde for the show stopping 'Story of Life'. The Maltese duo never fail to impress with a sound so solid and clear it shatters anything in its path. Some truly great remixes on offer also, highlights of which being Michael Tsukerman's cut and something deeper from Julian Wess & Mike Carey. This needs to be in the wallet, and therefore this weeks essential!
