Review: German techno legend Johannes Heil returns. Using his new alias Cryptik, he inaugurates the imprint Sacred with the Havayah EP. Starting out with the epic dark ambient intro "I Am" which you could imagine soundtracking a moon landing, he's then into the dancefloor oriented stuff. Starting with the title track; an 11-minutes space odyssey with brooding strings, dreamy chimes and a Berghain ready drum groove. Let's not forget that Heil debuted this project with two EPs on Len Faki's Figure imprint previously! "All Life Is" goes for some deep electro flavour in the vein of Anthony Rother or Exzakt while mellow closer "Sacred" goes for more restraint on this dark journey track that's perfect for some added mood lighting during the warm up slot.
