Hamburg-based producer Christophe Salin (real name Christoph Kuhn) has been doing his thing for a few years now, sporadically releasing rock solid deep house EPs on his own Salin Records imprint. His latest missive could well be his most inspired release yet. He begins with the harp-laden, set-opening ambient and subtle cymbal builds of "Sweet Memories", before whipping off his shirt, grabbing a jazz guitar and dancing down a moonlit beach on the Balearic jazz-house brilliance of "Paradise". Elsewhere, "Like a Call" is a sumptuously sunny, piano-heavy saunter through attractive deep house pastures, "Love is Unfair" is woozy, ultra-deep and hypnotic, and "Covered With Pain" is a curious but hugely enjoyable downtempo soundscape. Bravo Sir, bravo!
