Review: Life Sciences Division is a collaborative project that draws together LKR Records chief Lukas Hatzisavas (best known for his work as Lou Kash) and Salt Mines supremo Rudolf Dorr (AKA Rudolf C). Given their respective production histories, you'd expect "Alienplatz" to hit the spot, and it does. Opener "Vetoed" is the kind of deliciously psychedelic, rugged and forthright workout that stirs memories of sweaty free parties in the late 1990s, while "Frog Tech" sounds like an ambient techno take on the percussive early 2000s tech-house sound of Peace Division. "Belvedere" on the other hand is dreamy, dubbed-out and spacey despite the presence of some seriously weighty sub-bass, and "Antimatter" is a dawn-ready slab of sun-kissed breakbeat deep house bliss.
