Resole EP
Slight Delay - (6:54) 125 BPM
Sakura Tree - (7:12) 122 BPM
Resole - (6:50) 125 BPM
Review: The ever-prolific Nicolas Barnes continues his run of deep dance floor releases with Resole. "Slight Delay" shows why he is such a respected artist. Led by a pulsating groove and ticking percussion, its evocative, atmospheric synths and prowling bass really set it apart. On "Sakura Tree", Barnes goes down a more dubby route. The track's dense beats provide a backdrop for the dreamy chords and ponderous pianos that sweep through the arrangement. The title track sees him return to the deep techno sound of "Slight Delay". With a clubbier focus, Barnes' melodies are set to a rolling groove - recalling vintage Delsin.

Fragments Of Deep Desolation
Desolat Places - (7:51) 110 BPM
Rough Edges - (7:44) 120 BPM Hot
Dub Side Of Garage - (5:31) 110 BPM
Review: Up next on Lempuyang, the offshoot label of Sanghyang Dedari, is newcomer Paolo Zuliani. Listening to Fragments..., it sounds like a seasoned hand has produced these three tracks. "Desolate Places" is a chugging, dubbed out groove that flows and ebbs hypnotically. Bolstered by dubby drums and featuring mournful chords, it recalls the very best of Echocord. On "Rough Edges", Zuliani delivers a firing, percussive track. With a focus on steely hi hats and deft filters, it makes for a killer, stripped back club track. "Dub Side Of Garage" resounds to a slower pace and has a lush disco sound, closing out this fine EP in style.

Equations For Love & Loneliness
We All Make Choices - (3:58) 156 BPM
In A Good Place - (7:33) 120 BPM
Equations For Love & Loneliness - (7:50) 120 BPM
Review: Lotech/Hijack is the latest artist to release on Lempuyang's offshoot label. While best known for his ambient and dub work, most of the material on this three-tracker is designed for club use. "We All Make Choices" resounds to insistent chords and a clattering, insistent rhythm. Like a lean, contemporary version of Force Inc's 90s techno, it is sure to have an impact on the dance floor. "In A Good Place" sees the Canadian producer follow a similar approach. This time, the sound is more looped, with a chord sequence fused with a dense groove. The title track sees him retreat to more familiar territory, as understated ambient textures unfold in an unhurried fashion.

Begalybeje
Begalybeje - (5:55) 130 BPM Hot
Daryk Ne Darydamas - (6:55) 120 BPM
Indigo Zvaigzde - (8:21) 117 BPM
Review: Akmuo has made a name with atmospheric dub techno, so it makes sense that they should be the latest producer to feature on the Lempuyang sub-label Sanghyang Dedari. Fans of the more esoteric side of techno will find a lot to love here. "Begalybeje" is a cavernous, shuffling track that resounds to chiming chords. On "Daryk Ne Darydamas", the connection to the dance floor subsides, with Akmuo delivering a breathy shanty. Marking a change in style is "Indigo Zvaigzde". While it is also influenced by dub techno, it revolves around wave upon wave of textures, a fittingly broody finale to the release.

Review: Dib is a prolific artist whose work draws on the dub techno sound of Basic Channel and Chain Reaction. The footprint of those foundational labels is audible on his latest release, which is issued on Sanghyang Dedari, a new offshoot of Lempuyang. "Cieloterra 001.1" and "Cieloterra 001.3" are cavernous sound scapes, with the first iteration closer to the scuffled dub of Basic Channel. Moving into dance floor mode, Dib delivers the undulating grooves of "Cieloterra 001.2" and "Cieloterra 001.4". While both tracks have a club focus, plaintive chords and dubbed out textures ensure that they remain rooted in Dib 's musical sensibility. Closing out the release are the shimmering pulses of "Cieloterra 001.5".
