Review: German upstart Northern Zone isn't messing around. Following a series of outings on Limitless he makes his EP debut on Santorin with his largest body of work to date. Each cut as cosmically edged as the last, he's handcrafted a unique journey full of surprises; from the fluttering beats on "Lane 93" to darker rumbling underbelly on "Last Breath" by way of the filtered jazz tones and crackly vinyl textures of "Cold Blooded" there's all manner of evidence of a mature producer who knows how to show restraint but still be red blooded about his sound. Get Northern Zone in your friendship zone.
