Review: The eighth release on Sccucci Manucci sees the imprint pack a hefty eight productions that traverse various house sounds from around the world onto two slabs of handstamped wax. From Coeo's bouncy and vocal track through to Mella Dee's dark and distinctively UK-centric track the label has tried to explore the sheer wealth of production talent on offer at the moment.

Sccucci One
Francis Inferno Orchestra - "Horizon Beat" - (8:16) 116 BPM Hot
Jonno & Tommo - "Scare The Night" - (6:27) 112 BPM
Scott Featherstone & Tino - "Circles" - (6:19) 123 BPM
Ramboiage - "Pretty Baby" - (7:01) 109 BPM
Review: Brand spanking new label Sccucci Manucci launches with this offering containing cuts from four different but equally pleasing sources. Those of you who hang out at the crossroads where disco meets house will no doubt already be keenly aware of the stylings of Aussie pup Francis Inferno Orchestra, and here he turns in piano-driven stomper "Horizon Beat". No less euphoric is "Scare The Night" by Jonno & Tommo - alas not a production duo from Far North Queensland but the considerably less tropical climes of London - who drop an oven warm slow-mo jam that brings to mind I:Cube's epic "Falling". Up next, Scott Featherstone & Tino TCB, with "Circles" guaranteed to raise a smile from the more discerning corners of the dancefloor. Portuguese newcomer Ramboiage rounds off the release, dropping some Cottam-esque heavy thud house on "Pretty Baby".

Forza Quattro EP
Waze & Odyssey - "I Can't Hear You (Dance)" - (6:10) 120 BPM Hot
Deadly Sins - "Don't You Know" - (7:02)
Fil Lavin - "You Are So Not Good For Me" - (6:42) 115 BPM
Sellouts - "Envy" - (7:50) 108 BPM
Review: The Sccucci Manucci label has done a fine job of handpicking artists on the rise for their releases to date, collaring the likes of Casino Times, Francis Inferno Orchestra and Toomydisco as well as the odd established name like Jacques Renault. The label's fourth release Forza Quattro is still grounded in the disco/house sensibility that has served them so well, though the presence of Waze & Oddysey demonstrates the Sccucci A & R team are willing to deviate. The elusive US pair are in the midst of a hot patch right now with releases already burning on Body Work and Southern Fried and plenty more due over the coming months, so their presence here is a real coup. "I Can't Hear You" sounds vaguely like a extra bouncy cover of the classic "RIP Groove" and definitely ranks alongside their output to date. The EP also has tempo traversing contributions from Fil Lavin, Sellouts and Deadly Sins, with the latter's slow and chuggy "Don't You Know" a particular highlight.

Six Million Ways To Fly EP
Gredits - "Doin' It Deep" - (6:27) 108 BPM Hot
Elef - "Lazy Liz" - (6:06) 120 BPM
The Candy Dealers - "Time Machine" - (6:30) 117 BPM
Illyus - "Movin' House" - (6:54) 124 BPM
Review: Volume Six of the esteemed Sccucci Manucci operation sees the Tom Selleck of disco flecked house rack up the air miles with an international cast of talent contributing. Contemporary disco connoisseurs should be fully aware of Gredits, the Swedish producer with previous on the Basic Fingers label; "Doing It Deep" does it right, seductively teasing out a killer looped up disco groove that gets more flirtatious with every listen. German dwelling Greek producer Elef takes us into classicist house terrain with the infectious bump and shuffle of "Lazy Liz", whilst a long promised Sccucci weapon from The Candy Dealers (aka Christian Malloni & Jay West also sees release. Glaswegian Illyus rounds out the EP, as he returns for a second bite of the Manucci cherry with the late night dubby house goodness of "Movin House".

Three Is A Crowd EP
Toomy Disco - "What Goes Around" - (7:33) 120 BPM
The Glue - "Without You" - (8:35) 102 BPM
South West Seven - "What Have I Got To Do?" - (6:44) 116 BPM Hot
Aeromaschine - "Deep Champagne" - (6:06) 116 BPM
Review: The moustached disco avengers at Sccucci Manucci drop their latest missive, featuring more transmissions from the disco underground. Argentinean based Toomy Disco provides "What Goes Around", a tightly produced disco-house number with horn snippets woven around low-slung grooves, whilst The Glue deliver "Without You" a hazy slo-mo looper with vocal teases and hypnotic guitar licks. South West Seven lock themselves into a fast moving groove with "What Have I Got To Do", a track that contrasts its fast rhythmic pulse with vocals and guitars that slowly emerge from the filtered ether. Aeromaschine close proceedings with "Deep Champagne"; combining a deep and melodic bassline with improvisational touches and glitchy vocal stutters, it successfully forges its own sound whilst keeping in line with his disco counterparts.

Cinquemila Lire EP
Toyboy & Robin - "No More Sunshine" - (4:39) 125 BPM Hot
Sahin Meyer - "Spread Love" - (7:52) 118 BPM
Illyus - "Saif" - (7:28) 122 BPM
Firas - "Feel Love" - (5:13) 124 BPM
Review: Sccucci Manucci once again proves its dancefloor chops with its fifth release, the Cinquemila Lire EP, which sees the London based imprint curl its moustache in the direction of deep house. Manchester based duo Toyboy & Robin open proceedings with "No More Sunshine", an insouciant mix of soulful vocals, shuffling garage percussion and burning deep house organ stabs. It's a heady, intoxicating mix, and it's one that's matched on the A-Side by Sahin Meyer's effort; the husband and wife duo turn in the gorgeous "Spread Love", a cut that wrings every last drop of emotion out of a classic, drummy arrangement. Flip over for "Saif" by Illyus, a twinkling late night excursion into melodic, star gazing house, and "Feel Love" by Firas, one half of the Waze & Odyssey, who rounds off another killer Sccucci 12-inch with raw-thentic smacky beats and an addictive loopy vocal and bassline.

Seven Deadly Sins EP
Tarjei Nygard - "Togo" - (7:13) 116 BPM Hot
Desos - "I Can Do" - (6:23) 122 BPM
Mella Dee - "Love Is" - (6:06) 126 BPM
Alex Blaxx - "It's A Race Thing" - (6:46) 122 BPM
Review: The 7th Sccucci Manucci EP kicks off in moustache curling style with a Scandinavian slice of four/four action from Tarjei Nygard. On loan from his own Untz Untz Records, Tarjei Nygard weaves his way way through beautifully recorded synth bleeps and bass lines on "TOGO," culminating in a piano breakdown which will have any party reaching for the lasers. The Scandinavian vibe continues as Dane Brian Logstrup comes correct with the classic slab of deep house sound that is "I Can Do" whilst we return to the UK and the sounds of London producer Mella Dee whose UK Garage and Bass influences shine through on the peak time monster "Love Is". Last seen debuting on Buzzin' Fly, Alex Blaxx rounds off proceedings with the wonderfully insouciant house of "It's A Race Thing".
