Review: While smoking may still be bad for you (and it is, kids), there's nothing but techno goodness to be found on Schmer's latest multi-artist extravaganza. The meat of the EP is a couple of thrusting club workouts: the metallic bounce and Mr Oizo electronics of Prototype 909's "The Volume", and the trippy, off-kilter hypnotism of BPMF's admirably loose and alien "Der Schermann Kommt". Elsewhere, Dietrich Schoenemann offers some deeper and woozier fare, while DJ RX5 works with a bunch of quirky beatless loops before bringing in a tropical techno rhythm track.
