Review: The novelist Jim Crace once wrote that 'hell is other people', but the opposite is true on this release. Following on from Perlen on Acid's debut album last year on Schoenbrunner Perlen, the act returns to the label with an atmospheric EP. The title track is based on a languid, mid-tempo groove, which acts as the basis for textured sound scapes and muffled vocal samples. "Sky Grab" is also a slow burning affair. Centred on lithe break beats and a rumbling low end, a looped vocal refrain is woven into a tapestry of melodic swirls. It makes for an evocative, powerful track.
