From the evocative Motor City style tones of ambient house epic "After The Rain", the life-affirming slo-mo acid of "The Complete Trance Induction" and going out all guns blazing onb the end with the thunderous old school techno of "Dark River" calling to mind classic Laurent Garnier. Review: There's no denying that Felipe Gordon is one of the most in-form producers in deep house right now, with each successive release from the Colombian seemingly being even greater than the last. He's continued this rich vein of form on A Landscape Onomatopeya, his first full-length for current home Shall Not Fade. The set is naturally rooted in his jazz-funk flavoured brand of deep house, where post-boogie synth sounds, warm electric piano chords and soft-touch jazz guitar solos rise above wonderfully huggable dancefloor beats. There are plenty of ear-pleasing deviations scattered across the album though, from the Azymuth-goes-house brilliance of 'The Colombian Excursions of House Music' and the head-nodding downtempo haziness of 'Wez', to the rare groove style dustiness of 'Howl' and Guru style jazzy hip-hop beats of 'Wake Up'.

Review: With releases on Phonica and Echovolt to his credit, Earth Trax aka Bartosz Kruczyński now delivers his debut album for Shall Not Fade, the sister imprint of Lost Palms. It's a mesmerising affair that features the warbling acid of "Pandora's Box" and "Full Throttle" at one end of the spectrum and the atmospheric break beat techno of "I'm Not Afraid" and "Adhocracy" at the other. In between these two extremes sit irresistibly evocative cuts such as the rickety rhythms of "Fade Away" and the uplifting bass tones of "Copies Of Copies", making for a well-rounded and effortlessly executed debut album.

Review: Byron Blaylock's last extended outing, last year's brilliant Ambrosia on Jeff Mills' Axis label, delivered a perfect balance between live, colourful jazz-funk instrumentation and club-ready deep house grooves. The Alabama native taps into that sound again on The New Beginning, his third full length excursion, while also reppin' head-nodding instrumental hip-hop, sci-fi seeped future boogie, dusty jazz, spacey peak-time club workouts and jaunty dancefloor jazz. Such is the quality on show, picking individual highlights is tough, though our current favourites include the sax-laden romp 'Universal Insanity', the piano-sporting deep house breeziness of 'Cosmic Dub', the Motor City influenced wonder of 'The End of the World' and the sparkling, Dam Funk-esque 'Smoke One For Huckaby'.

Review: Since making their debut on 1080p five years ago, Earth Boys (AKA producers Julian C Duron and Michael Sherburn) have carved themselves a niche as creators of dreamy, humid and often psychedelic electronic retro-futurism. They continue to mine this richly mixed-up, saucer-eyed musical seam on "Earth Tones", an album-length excursion that marks their first appearance on Shall Not Fade. Across the eight tracks, the pair treats us to dubby, Motor City-influenced deep space house (the sax-sporting "Sonama"), sub-heavy, breakbeat-driven U.S garage revivalism ("I Just Love It"), weighty early UK hardcore revivalism (standout "Amazon Prime"), jazzy dream house lusciousness ("Earth Tones"), turn-of-the-90s deep house revivalism ("Los Angeles") and immersive, late night dancefloor bliss ("Got It To Work").

Review: Although it might still be too soon to call Texan producer DJ Poolboi a legend, his music is certainly starting to lean the way of legendary, with lo-fi house the artist's trademark. It's the boi's third album in four years across three labels and first on Shall Not Fade in which he's become something of a figure head, and Into The Blue Light signals potential for AOTY (Album of the Year). Filled with deep and impactful emotion, melancholy and warmth, it's a long player that pulls at the heart-strings while firing up the dancefloor with chords, keys and melodies that hit those sweet spots, while booming in kick, bass and drums. Highlights include opener, "Won't Let You Ruin My Mood", the pop-aqua rave of "For The Last Time" and some piano-driven Moby inspirations in "The Joy You Once Felt".

Review: Next up on Shall Not Fade is a spellbinding mix from the fast-rising DJ Physical. Inspired by old school techno, Physical gets the selection off to a rousing start with his own acid-soaked "Uranium", before dropping the raucous, noisy banger that is Testpress' "Joemama". The 303 is a common theme throughout this mix, and Ejeca's "Away" features a seamless mix of atmospheric synths and nagging acid lines. The other recurring feature is Physical's affinity with 90s techno, audible on the break beat-led "Silver Lake" and "Overshoot", an epic slice of trance that sounds like an update on the classic Eye Q style.

Review: Lisbon-based Goncalo Salgado aka Lake Haze returns to Shall Not Fade for his third release entitled Henosis, where he experiments with the retro, computer-love aesthetic of chiptune and video game music across 10 tracks. Review: Dimmish's Every Other Day is a stunning album that showcases his mastery of minimal house. The album consists of 11 dynamic tracks, each one a gem in its own right, taking the listener on a journey through different moods and atmospheres. From the mysterious and captivating "UFO" to the uplifting and energetic "Sayonara Wall Street", the Italian DJ/producer's sound is flawless, with crisp drums, warm basses and subtle melodies. Review: With garage becoming one of the most popular areas of underground dance music again over the past few years, it is important for producers to be able to stand out among the crowd. This latest offering from the Shall Not Fade crew sees Ramu arrive with a feature length LP project, exploring the best of both garage and breaksy goodness with this 11 track adventure. From the acidic backdrops of 'Ignite' and glistening atmospheric jangles of 'This Creature', to the shuffling percussive patterns of 'Is It Ok' and super digitised designs of 'Soarr, Ramu covers a tonne of ground in a relatively short space of time. Our highlights from this heavyweight selection would include the swampy yet charming synthetic sweeps of 'Timetravels', next to more hard-house inspired drum designs of 'Helix', letting loose more acidic shivers for your eardrums to enjoy. Review: While some labels have scaled back their output during the ongoing global pandemic, Shall Not Fade has not let up. The Bristol-based label's latest must-check release is a typically jazzy deep house mini-album from experienced German producer Tilman. There's not enough room to detail every track on offer, but we'd suggest starting with energetic, techno-tempo opener 'Relax Yourself' (breezy jazz-funk-house on steroids), before moving on to the squelchy and tactile late-night hypnotism of 'Beauty In The Dark' (think Italian dream house with extra percussive drive) and the bumpin', sample-rich jazz-house goodness of 'Vice Versa', whose beats reminded us of some of Switch and Jesse Rose's work as Inducive. There are plenty more highlights scattered across the EP, making it a genuine must-check for deep house heads.

Review: Dub techno progressions, digital techy beats and minimal makes a comeback on Shall Not Fade's 4 Years Of Service, with this various artist comp bringing in new names and label members alike. Biz Miz throws in a huge glowing number with a deep progressive flow in "Sun", while a bangin' combo of chords and beats rain down furthermore in KETTAMA's "Sundance". Deeper still there's the melliflow of Harrison BDP's "Interfearance", while more abstract numbers come from Harry Griffiths alongside a touch of ironical candy cane in 1-800 Girls' "My Speedos". That's no criticism though, because there's plenty to set the pulse racing from start to finish. Our highlights include the '90s drum & bass goes Balearic sweetness of Baltra's "White Cherry Gelato" mix of "Battery Boys", Interplanetary Criminal's stunningly dreamy late night UKG rework of "Amazon Prime", Soela's deliciously deep, hazy and life-affirming house take on "Los Angeles" - which incidentally reminded us of '90s Scottish deep house producer Aqua Bassino), and J Albert's bonkers-but-brilliant re-fix of "On a Limb", which is frankly impossible to accurately describe.

Review: Joe Newham's debut album as Gavinco, last year's Down & Out on Satta, offered a pitch-perfect blend of jazz-house, deep house, and classic US house sounds. His first release on Shall Not Fade, a mini album called Dumont, explores similar sonic territory with predictably impressive results. For proof, check out the jazzy organ riffs, snaking sax lines and chunky grooves of 'Electronic Feeling', the weighty analogue bass, fizzing cymbals and squally sax solos of 'Transit', the Aqua Bassino-esque warmth and breeziness of 'Sweetness', the early St Germain style jazz-house headiness of standout cut 'Fusion', and the rubbery deep disco-house bounce of sunny closing cut 'Estrella', where reverb-laden vibraphone motifs, elastic bass guitar and held-note synth-strings catch the ear.
