Review: James Denny may not get the media coverage of some of his contemporaries, but his track record - which includes singles on REKIDS, Hot Creations and Crosstown Rebels - is exemplary. It makes sense, then, that Shall Not Fade boss Kieran Williams has added him to the label's ever-expanding roster. Opener 'Dans La Nuit', a charging and sample-rich slab of peak-time house joy rich in jazzy guitar licks, bouncy beats and 'Knights of the Jaguar' sty;e synth strings, is the pick of a very strong bunch, but the other two tracks on show are excellent too. King Crowney collaboration 'Dance With Me' is a sizzling and humid, percussion-and-trumpet-heavy slab of Latin house hedonism, while 'Anni 80' sees him create hands-aloft gold out of unfussy house beats and synth-heavy samples from a long-forgotten 1980s treat.

Review: Next up on Shall Not Fade, a swing back into the more breaks-inspired side of their garage roots, welcoming the explosive combination of both Maroki & Hypnos for a glittering two-tracker, steeped in original underground flavour. We open up with the wistful pad sweeps and charming synthetic backdrops of 'Sad Legs', a steadily evolving masterpiece that showcases the emotive side of garage and breaks. On the flip, another synth-heavy display of sonic wizardry in 'Glass Axe', with this creations melodies almost working like a retro sci-fi soundtrack, focussing on eerie reverbs and electronic instrumentation for a very classy B-side. Review: Following years spent flitting between labels including Toy Tonics and Razor N Tape Reserve, COEO make their bow on Shall Not Fade. In keeping with the Bristol label's approach to digital releases, it's an expansive and action-packed affair. Title track 'Planet Earth' is one of the Munich-based duo's more forthright cuts to date - a thrusting, bongo-laden techno tempo rave workout propelled forwards by an insanely good (and rubbery) electronic bassline and psychedelic acid lines aplenty - while 'Satellite Bay' sounds like a cross between early '90s synth-pop, Kraftwerk and Euro-dance. Elsewhere, 'Rush Hour' gloriously joins the dots between hip-house, vintage MK productions and the Pet Shop Boys' Relentless' album; 'Kawasaki Racing Club' combines breakbeats and early UK progressive house sounds; and 'The Stage Is Yours' is a head-nodding, midtempo acid breaks affair.

Review: Although it might still be too soon to call Texan producer DJ Poolboi a legend, his music is certainly starting to lean the way of legendary, with lo-fi house the artist's trademark. It's the boi's third album in four years across three labels and first on Shall Not Fade in which he's become something of a figure head, and Into The Blue Light signals potential for AOTY (Album of the Year). Filled with deep and impactful emotion, melancholy and warmth, it's a long player that pulls at the heart-strings while firing up the dancefloor with chords, keys and melodies that hit those sweet spots, while booming in kick, bass and drums. Highlights include opener, "Won't Let You Ruin My Mood", the pop-aqua rave of "For The Last Time" and some piano-driven Moby inspirations in "The Joy You Once Felt".

Review: Alan Fitzpatrick's latest release starts with the crackle of vinyl and dubbed out drums on "Patience". It marks the beginning of a track - and a release - that is less characteristic for the storied producer. Gentle pulses and a rickety back beat guide these elements, leading the listener to a hypnotic place where woozy chords prevail. Along the way, "Patience" drops into seductive breakdowns. Fitzpatrick teams up with Reset Robot on "Mule Subjective". Led by robust break beats, it sees the duo weave swirling melodies into the arrangement. "Neptune Realms" is even further removed from Fitzpatrick's typical sound, with serene ambient textures flowing and ebbing mournfully.

First, the 'Big Ang Garage' remix takes the track down a breaks-driven, nostalgia-flood avenue of swiftness, focussing on glittering chords and tidy drum work, before the 'Big Ang Rave' version pulls things back for a more piano-driven feeling. Review: After a run of releases on his own SlothAcid imprint, Sacha Robotti makes his bow on Bristol-based Shall Not Fade. Interestingly, it features a clutch of collaborations, JSMN adding dead-eyed, stylised spoken word vocals to the hands-aloft, increasingly percussive piano house rush of 'U+I', before Tessla joins Robotti on two tracks: the swirling electronics, restless builds and energetic releases of 'That Feelin' and the more warped, heavyweight and mind-mangling peak-time sweat of 'Be Your Baby'. Elsewhere, 'All I Know' is another rushing, seemingly colossal slab of mid-90s piano house energy, and 'Deeper Love' sees Robotti make merry with a classic house acapella, heavy house drums and raw bass.
