Review: Garage and bassline have once again become essential ingredients within the UK's underground rave scene, which as you can imagine, is almost bursting at the sides with its need to return to putting on parties around the country. For the DJs starting to receive bookings, this latest remix from the ever-ready Shaun Dean is a must-add to your playlists and setlists, as he gets to work redesigning S Dog's 'Here To Party' original, combining sweeping 4x4 drums and nostalgic organ chord leads with a very tidy lead vocal from S Dog himself. The whole project just screams rave-ready energy, and we can't wait to hear both this original remix and extended mix in a dance as soon as we possibly can!

Review: As two of the most talked about names in UK bass music right now, how couldn't we be excited to see Shaun Dean and MPH link up for three weighty originals on Shaun Dean's self-imprint. We kick off this with the title track 'Exposure', a warbling whirlwind of LFO design and crunchy drumwork, followed by the more niche-inspired rhythmic shuffles and vocal dips of 'Tribute', adding some fantastic contrast straight away. Finally, 'Solar' lets fly a barrage of sizzling synthesizer slaps, pulsating away above a sharply processed drum selection, bringing us to the perfect close from a very well thought out project.

Review: As one of the most sought after names in bass music, we are absolutely loving the launch of Shaun Dean Audio and the music it is already yielding. For example, this two track project from the man himself is a perfect showcase of modern bassline themes as 'Advisory' warbles into play with its high energy bass tonality and sharp drum processing below. On the flip side, we are given 'Blitz', a much more melodic exploration into bass culture, focussing on numerous areas from a constantly evolving bass synth, to the choir of distant chord progressions and super catchy vocal structures. Excellent.
