You Leave Me Lonely (Le French Kiss remix) - (5:22) 125 BPM
You Leave Me Lonely (instrumental) - (4:10) 125 BPM
Review: One from the pop/commercial side here - or is it? On the one hand, yes: the Original of 'You Leave Me Lonely' is the kind of light 'n' fluffy, soulfully inspired dance-pop that drove Hed Kandi's 'Beach House' series, while Le French Kiss remix pushes the track towards the brash, 'hi-octane' end of the disco-house spectrum, and is one for mainstream High Street clubs only. But WAIT! because underneath the slightly flimsy female vocal, unnecessarily stuttered beats and grating stabs there actually lurks a pretty decent jazzy, lounge-y lil' roller, so if it's deeper pleasures you're after then the Instrumental is still worth checking.

Review: Dr!ve may once have been a member of award-winning hip-hop group 6er Gaucho, but these days he's far more interested in disco and, in particular, electrofunk. "Down & Out" is a cheery number full of authentic boogie synths, crunchy clipped guitars, tasty P-funk flourishes and a fine vocal from the man himself. The accompanying remixes also hit the spot with Aux Tha Masterfader channeling the spirit of Break Machine on his synth bass and Fairlight stab-propelled "Breakdance Mix", before Dctr drops two synth-heavy nu-disco rubs. Bonus cut "The Party" - a vocoder-laden stroll through P-funk flavoured nu-disco pastures - is also pretty nifty.
