Review: Somar Sevleuh has put out a series of releases in the past year, and Witness marks out this Barcelona-based artist as a name to watch. "Lazers" moves from eerie, dark ambient shapes into a throbbing bass, while maintaining its menacing undercurrent. Meanwhile, both "Duo Coop A D H" and the title track edge towards the dance floor with a combination of stepping rhythms, cold tonal bleeps and seething acid lines. On both occasions, the focus remains on a more understated approach. That restraint goes out the window with Coscia's pulsating techno take on "Duo Coop..." and Agustin Viera's version of "Witness", but the remixes make a neat counterpoint to Sevleuh's subtle style.
