Midnight Dip (Solma remix) - (5:33) 88 BPM
Review: Seeing a new drop from the Simply Deep team is always an exciting thing, with them being such a varied label showcasing numerous sounds. In the hot seat this time around, we have Fluid Matter, who is on hand to deliver a spectacular four tracker, kicking off with the slower, dampened textures and fluttering melodic designs of 'Loss', which acts as a serious thrill-ride through electronic themes. Next, the skippy, more garage-influenced drum textures and sweeping sub-bass pushes of 'Dance With Demons' arrive to lift all eyebrows in-sight, before we dive further into a more tech-inspired creation with the triplet drum punches and constantly shifting bass designs of 'Midnight Dip' supplying us with another directional switch. Finally, Solma gets involved on remix duty to send 'Midnight Dip' to the breaksy chopper, giving it a twisted, drum-driven theme to close us out in style.

Ruined Record (Dubzta remix) - (5:01) 140 BPM
Review: The Simply Deep team are back at it again with another back of goodness, this time inviting the powerful sounds of Podo inside for a seven track thrill ride. The title track 'Percy' is the perfect blend of old school dubstep heat and new school electronic creation, fusing grizzly reesey synths with spacey melodies and minimal drums. Having kicked off with such a powerful start, 'Roller' takes us in a very different direction, focussing on minimal percussion and a much more spacious vibe, with 'Ruined Record' then following up with an unusual display of dissonant LFO designs to add to the eerie feel. The delicate bass twists and jazzy chord structures of 'Reese's Pieces' then round off the originals in style, before the Simply Deep regulars let loose on a bag of exciting remixes. All three get busy on 'Ruined Record', with Tik&Borrow & Luciv firstly providing an emotional, synth heavy recreation, Aerotonin giving us a choppy, colourful overhaul and Dubzta reworking the original into a grimey sizzler for good measure.

Bogus (Fork And Knife remix) - (3:42) 140 BPM
Review: The most exciting thing we know about Tik&Borrow as a production duo is that we genuinely never know what we are going to get next from them, with their production palette at this point being too wide to tell. This latest five tracker on SimplyDeep however is a perfect look into their dubstep roots, kicking off with this grizzly bass grips of the title track 'Torn', followed closely by the distant pluck delays of 'Guitar Dub' and super electronic synth punches of 'Bogus'. From here we dive into the remix corner, with Imanzi firstly arriving with a wavy, synth-led rethink of 'Guitar Dub', followed by grimey overhaul of 'Bogus' for good measure!

Review: Simply Deep have been on a serious roll of late, constantly seeking out exciting new music from across the underground spectrum for us all the enjoy. This latest drop from Barom Run sees them more into LP mode, with this gargantuan new selection featuring eleven tasty creations, including the super synthy experiment entitled 'Run Circles', which takes the part of title track. So many areas are explored within this tracklisting, from the dusty sample work of 'Contest'; to the heavyweight synthesizer sidechains of 'Vessel' and super crunchy drum work within 'Meek'. The project also comes complete with some seriously cool remix additions from Gnischrew, Noble and Korin Complex, making this a fabulous first long play of the year for team Simply Deep.

Review: What a way to put the finishing touches on what really has been a top quality year of new music for the Simply Deep team, with Aerotonin constantly supplying us with exciting new artists to enjoy. This brand new EP sees them welcome MUNGK inside for a fabulous selection, kicking off with the incredible eerie melodic reflections and bassy drives of 'Tarot', followed by the dungeon-ready percussive powers of 'Dabke' and the bulbous bass stab and emotive vocal slice combos of 'Reflections'. The remixes are when it gets even more interesting however, with Hypho first popping up to give an even more delicate spin to 'Tarot', before Hunter Reed sends the track down a much more moogy avenue. Finally, Khromi overhauls 'Dabke' into a melodic epic, rounding off this wonderful creation nicely.

Review: The thing we have always loved and will continue to love about the Simply Deep imprint, is their commitment to exploring the unknown. They are never afraid to take their releases into uncharted territory, with this new slap from Moosiqunt being a scorcher to say the least. We begin with the haunted atmospheric design and unpredictable percussive expressions of 'Refugium', which gives us a real look forward into what we can truly expect. Next, 'Untitled' combines a more traditional drum backing with bubbling textures for something a tad different, before Sedan arrives for two exceptional collaborative pieces alongside 'Scetta' who adds his sauce without spoiling the broth. Finally, we move into our remix section, with Woven Thorns giving 'Untitled' a more conventional yet moodier dubstep feel, before Stizzla & Eater remix the track into a sub-aquatic slap'. Incredible scenes!

Review: What we have come to adore about the SimplyDeep catalogue is how truly unique it has become. As a label they feel no fear in exploring the more experimental areas of sound, with Big Hands providing the latest unorthodox ammunition. We begin with the post industrial drum tremors and metallic synthesis of 'Karma', followed by both the shuffling percussive fusions of 'Peruvian Fever' and crunchy half-time drum manoeuvres of 'Drone Dens'. Finally, we jump into the remix section of the project as we welcome OldGold inside to rework 'Peruvian Fever' into funky-infused journey into rhythmic possibility.

Review: We have been loving the direction Simply Deep have been taking with their releases in recent times, with this new crusher from Dunman being the epitome of their ambition. We begin with the stunning '99 Basslines', an epic system destroyer, driven by pulsating subs, subtle horn stabs and a super catchy vocal slice. This is then followed by the minimal drum work and sliding bass tones of 'R2D2' before the more soulful harmonic layering and glitchy synth stabs of 'Suede Shoes' delivers a difference in sonics. Next up, we get super grimey with the choppy drum switches and classic nostalgic sampling of 'War Fi Dem', before Deeks & Rame join forces for an official vocal version entitled 'Mad'. Finally, Dunman supplies us with another switch up as the jumpy clap patterns and sweeping soundscaping of 'Pistol Nights' provides a real sonic switch up, before Kage puts the final touches on the EP with a high energy shake-up of '99 Basslines'. Amazing work.

Review: SimplyDeep have been building quite the reputation as a breeding pool for incredible new musicians, with this latest release seeing them unleash the rawcus dubstep styles of Crimson to the party. The project begins with the mechanical timbres of 'Genesis' running wild, before the title track 'Logos' unleashes a set of lofi drum exhalations amidst some well sampled eastern woodwind. From here, the slower bass paces of 'Redemption', the bubbling percussion of 'Sktch' and euphoric arpeggiators and destructive bass tones of 'Perception' all add something very unique to the tracklisting. We then round out with two scorching remixes, with both J-Shadow and Moosiqunt providing well thought out overhauls of 'Sktch' to put the finishing touches on an outstanding body of work!

Review: We have come to really look forward to Simply Deep releases, who again touchdown with an impressive selection here as they welcome the super experimental sounds of J-Shadow, one of the most unique producers working within the tech-grime hybrid bracket. Kicking off with the unpredictable rhythms of the title track 'Modulator', running through the spacey pad textures of 'Gene & Defect', the glistening percussion of 'Side-Step', the choppy snare slaps of 'Inflation' and haunting harmonic structures of 'Glaciers', this EP proves to be an expert showcasing in the science of sound. Review: We are always pleased to see a new drop from the Simply Deep team materialize, knowing that they more often than not supply us with something incredibly original. Today, we see them link together Imanzi & Kontent for a fireball of an EP entitled 'Fidget Dub'. Firstly, Imanzi rolls out solo on 'Only Hope', a swampy stuttering sub-infused explosion of sound, followed by the title track 'Fidget Dub', which works as a syncopated glitchy piece of brilliance. On remix duty, Pharma steps forward to 'Fidget Dub' into an industrial dubstep stomp, giving the EP an entirely new edge!

Review: This is an EP that oozes class from start to finish, and for us, sits pretty solidly as one of the most powerful dubstep releases of 2019 as OME lands of Simply Deep for five tracks of pure brilliance. We kick off with 'Another', a shimmering behemoth of glittering flutey tones and whirling atmospheric pads, followed by the warbling crunches of 'Way Too Far'. Next up, we face the haunting arpeggios of 'Luna Sangrante' before diving into a pair of very well designe remixes. Firstly, Busted Fingerz flips 'Another' into an apocalyptic grimey explosion, with Allone then reimagining 'Way Too Far' into a smooth hip hop roller. Awesome stuff!

He here touches down on Simply Deep for a top notch drop, kicking off with the hard hitting synth structures and swinging percussion of 'Hear Now' before 'Almanac' arrives with spooky chimes and crunchy atmospherics. We then leap into a horde of remixes as Arta & Imanzi spin fantastic rethinks of 'Hear Now', with Gleb Choutov spinning Alamanc into an eerie roller, followed by Imajika's own rework of Mindapple from Opus, one of SimplyDeep's most popular ever drops. Review: Ah, what a wonderful time to be alive. The sun is shining, the cider is flowing and Simply Deep are back at it again with another banging project release, this time coming to us from Sam ULG. The title track for this one goes by the name of 'DUBLR' and is a stunning piece of synthetic sound design and harmonic structure, with beautiful chord arrangements making way for super punchy grime style drum work as the track progresses. On the flip, the incredible melodic ideas continue to flow as 'Vivid Dreams' leaves us in an emotional, nostalgic state. Review: Simply Deep are at it again here as the Aerotonin's forward thinking bass project moves into a brand new package, this time housing some naughty breaksy bass hybrids from Imanzi. We kick off with 'Totem', which takes high energy drum inserts and combines them with writhing bass sounds, kicking the EP off with a serious dose of energy. Next up, we take a more steppers inspired road as Imzani joins forces with Mungk on the tribalistic tastings of 'Kapa Haka', before we land on the grimey synthesizers and wobbling kick patterns of '2147'. Finally, OME joins the party with a glitchy rethink of '2147', providing some new energies to round off the project in style.

Here they introduce Black Mags to the catalogue across four corking originals, beginning with the minimalist techno tones of 'Badda' and fluid reversed synthesized structure of 'Destroy'. Next, the title track 'Embargo' arrives with some tasty lo-fi chord progressions before the hard hitting clap madness of 'Network' is let loose. We begin with the tech-infused designs of 'Drill', a composition perfect for describing SimplyDeep's current direction in the bass scene, swerving between hard hitting 4x4 drum arrangements and catchy vocal slices. Next we swim amongst the weird and wonderful realms of hypnosis as 'High Council' deploys trippy atmospheric synthesizers and choppy rolling kicks to send us into a daze. Review: It's been an awesome year for the SimplyDeep team, who have striven from the start of the year to supply us all with original, creative and quirky bass music, with this latest serving from remnts really putting the metaphorical cherry on the cake. As a producer, remnts boasts an extremely colourful style, with crazy synths running wild, the title track 'internet aint real' being the creation that boasts this trait most highly! Second up we have 'Ethos', another spacey piece of magnificence, before landing on the final original entitled 'War Mode'.
