Review: 2020 is likely to go down in history as the year with a summer that never was, but Snatch! is making up for it with this fine four-tracker. First up is Ant LaRock with the techy "HMANL"; peppered with repetitive vocal snatches and powered by tight percussion, it's an irresistibly deep but driving track. Federico Grazzini and Frank Storm's "Otto" is in a similar vein, with deep synths and brittle percussion underpinning robust drums and a stop-start arrangement. Wolfire's "Wanna Do" is more tracky and stripped back, with a focus on dense kicks and looped vocal sample, while this hugely enjoyable summer selection concludes with the rolling, sample-heavy tech-house of "Cold Mind" from Lessone

Review: ATFC is the long-running pseudonym for Aydin Hasirci, one of the UK's most experienced house producers. Having scored a huge hit at the tail end of the 90s with "In and Out of My Life", he has remained very much in the same style, putting out vocal house on labels like Toolroom and Defected. Hasirci's latest venture is on Riva Starr's label and is more reflective of its tech-house sound. The title track fuses a time-stretched double bass with a soulful vocal and insistent, hollowed out drums to create a distinctive house track. Meanwhile, Harry Romero adds a techy flavour on his remix, adding moody chord sequences and big break downs into the mix.

Review: London-based Brett Gould returns to Riva Starr's Snatch! label with two killer house cuts ready for the killing! "Believe" is a solid, bass-driven banger that pulsates its way through the groove with a ferocious swarm of bleeps that takes us back to the golden era of tech-house; that is, when people were actually making music instead of tiresome loops. Check Shyam P on the vocals, too. The artist teams up with Hilton Caswell for "No More Games", another deep and meandering burner or a track full of hypnotic zest, and what will surely make for a much welcomed rave anthem!

Review: Everyone's favourite house hooligan Riva Starr presents more main room tech house for the peak time, on volume two of his new In House series. Beginning with the fiercely rolling attitude of "S.T.O.P." by London's Cassimm followed by "Isolationx12" by Spain's' Odd People - a euphoric and atmospheric prog-house epic on the harder tip. For more classic old-school house flavour, you can't go wrong with Nico Cabeza's fittingly titled '1990" while Lexlay's "Speakers" hammers the message home in style - in what can only described as classic Snatch! material.

Review: Riva Starr's revered imprint is back with the best in tough rolling and funky tech house on the twelfth edition of Raw Cuts. From the raw jacking minimal antics of Catchment's "Overcomplete", Horatio takes his cues from the classic Robert Hood/M-Plant sound on the hypnotic "Viva La Revolucion", Wade gets into the UK tech house sound of now on the rolling "Until Dawn" and London based Italian Andrea Giudice takes the best of speed garage and Chicago acid on the rough 'n ready "My Turf".

Review: Columbian producer Ciclo returns to Snatch! with three stonking club cuts in a fairly 'traditional' house vein (and that's definitely not a complaint, BTW). Opener 'From The Roots' tops a solid rolling backbeat and M1-ish organ parps with the acapella of Kings Of Tomorrow's 'So Alive' (as also sampled by Kanye West for 'Low Lights'). The slightly pacier 'House Of Gang' is a rollicking little disco-houser with an energy-infusing walking bassline, almost Wild Pitch-y stabs and a full female vocal, while finally 'It's Haaaat' itself is a chunkier affair with a cut-up, Sneak-y kinda feel. Three very solid bullets for your Saturday night disco machine gun!

Review: Tribal Sessions resident and all round hero on the Leeds scene Darius Syrossian returns after great recent releases for 8 bit, Material Series and of course Breakout Audio. This time it's for Riva Starr's Snatch! with three tough rolling cuts with the main room at peak time in mind. Starting off with the swing fuelled stomper that is "Fugazi Land" while "Moon Buggy" gets more techy on you and with a monster bassline: all after the big drop of course! Finally London's Brett Gould injects more funk and groove into the aforementioned "Fugazi Land" allowing for more dancefloor dynamic.

Review: Snatch! is Riva Starr's first label project and the aim behind it is to push new talents and established forward thinking producers. Expect slamming fresh house cuts from some of the most exciting talent in the scene and next up is Napoli's DJ Simi with three funked up tech house cuts for main room action. Starting off with the sexy and driving summer heat of "Hot Pants Tribe" (original mix) full of hip hop style sampling, there's also "Sunrise" (Rising Love Anthem) which has that rolling kinda groove that would appeal to fans of Saved or Material Series, but with an undeniable latin flavour. Finally "Man Drake" (original mix) goes for something more on moody jazzy tip: very emotive like classic Nick Holder.
