In Silence EP
Maykors & Sobersoul - "In Silence" - (5:00) 174 BPM
Maykors & Alyness - "One Night" - (4:27) 173 BPM
Maykors - "Just Stay" - (4:59) 174 BPM
Maykors - "166.5" - (6:22) 167 BPM Hot
Review: Pipe down at the back! Maykors has landed on Soul Trader with a bunch of friends and he wants us all to listen 'In Silence'. A deep and dreamy number with a strong yearning tone, it's a powerful way to kick off the EP before we dive deep into the rest of the EP... 'One Night' (with Alyness) takes us down a more introspective route while 'Just Stay' tugs at the heart strings in the same earnest way a BCee instrumental might. Last but not least '166.5' lowers the tempo a smidgeon for a timeless jungle hardcore finale. Make some noise!

Soul Trader Collection Vol 1
Pola & Bryson - "Flat Jam" (FD remix) - (4:50) 174 BPM
Data 3 - "You And I" (feat Blake) - (4:59) 174 BPM
Saxxon - "House In The Hills" - (6:03) 175 BPM
The Vanguard Project - "What We Got" - (6:04) 174 BPM Hot
BCee - "Think U Know" (feat Pat Fulgoni) - (4:52) 174 BPM
Review: A few timeless old bits. A few firing new pieces. Soul Trader get stuck right in with this inaugural volume of their new 'Soul Trader Collection' series. FD's remix of Pola & Bryson still rattles and spanks with air and clarity three years later, Data 3 reunite with Blake for a new moment of poignancy on 'You & I' while Saxxon's 'House On The Hill' is still an off the wall jazz stunner almost seven years later. Next up are two bangers from the BCee camp; Vanguard Project slam out a Marky-style jam with 'What We Got' while trouble-free troubadour Fulgoni joins Steve for the cosmic soul finale. Some of Soul Trader's strongest vibes over here.

Year Of Soul Vol 2 Sampler
Data 3 - "Virtue" - (5:03) 58 BPM
Silence Groove - "Cheeky Growler" (Pola & Bryson remix) - (5:20) 174 BPM Hot
Random Movement - "Power Grab" (Cheeto Logic) - (4:30) 172 BPM
Data 3 - "Molly" (Gerra & Stone remix) - (5:02) 174 BPM
Review: Soul Trader are laying the groundwork for their forthcoming Year Of Soul Vol. 2 LP with this sampler, a four-tracker which hints at what is to come. Whilst Soul Trader is usually a liquid label, this EP is dark as can be, courtesy of Gerra & Stone, Data 3 and Pola & Bryson. The first of those s on remix duty for the second with 'Molly' and they've flipped it into a stretched-out display of darkness and power. Pola & Bryson have accomplished something similar with their remix of Silence Groove's 'Cheeky Growley', flipping the original into complex blend of bass notes and sharp hi-hat points. Top release, we can't wait for the full LP.

Bristol Dawn EP
Ill Truth & Michael E.T - "Hollow Game" (Villem remix) - (5:14) 175 BPM
Ill Truth & Bluejay - "Bristol Dawn" - (7:16) 172 BPM Hot
Review: As a notable name within the modern drum & bass circuit, we were super excited to sit down and get into this brand new project from Ill Truth who take up residence on Soul Trader for a standout two tracker. We begin with Villem's official neuro remix of 'Hollow Game', an inspired original collaboration between Ill Truth and Michael E.T. On the flip we are introduced to a brand new original collaboration alongside Bluejay, who lays down some smooth original vocal lines on the title track 'Bristol Dawn'. A solid piece of work here from a very exciting link up!

Blue Harbour EP
Bcee - "Only You" - (5:17) 172 BPM
Bcee - "Understanding" - (5:58) 174 BPM
Bcee/Saxxon & Surplus - "Tripped Up" - (5:52) 170 BPM
Saxxon - "Blue Harbour" - (6:13) 175 BPM Hot
Review: Soul Trader has swiftly established itself as a force to be reckoned with, having launched less than a year ago and dropping pure gold every EP. Saxxon takes the title credit with the powerful piano-rolling jazz jam "Blue Harbour" that's underpinned with just a mild mischievous wobble. From here Spearhead bossman Bcee takes the wheel and drives the rest of this multi-artist EP behemoth home. "Only You" loops up the funk with Troutman proportions, "Understanding" is a full-on male vocal workout with big gospel guts while his three-way with Saxxon and Surplus "Tripped Up" takes a minimal synth Q&A and peppers it with spacey vocal echoes and light pianos. Soul Trader's stock is high right now.
