Review: There is nothing but consistent heavy hitters when it comes to Southside Dubstar, with this new release from Outsider & L Nix following the mould with some serious panache. We begin our journey through this one with a look at 'Isolate', a grizzly combination of hard-hitting sub-bass and crunchy percussion, before the sombre melodies and loose LFO expressions of 'Desolation' wade into view. L Nix then gets busy with a super-raucous refix of the previously mentioned 'Desolation', before 'Resistance' combines swampy bass sweeps and growling bass punches with great results. We then finish up with the super punchy drum arrangements and well-rounded synthesizer action of 'Night Vision', putting the finishing touches on an excellent body of work.

Review: The reemergence of Southside Dubstar UK has been a thing of serious beauty, as they continue to bring forward some of the gnarliest dubstep delights. For this latest drop we see them employ the wickman sounds of Makak, who kicks us off with his title track 'Monkey Business', a choppy stuttered behemoth of a riddim. Next, we wade into the warbling bass belches of 'Dedit' which is very quickly followed by the super smooth flutey tones and monstrous sub structures of 'Roots Underground'. We then move into the extremely potent VIP mix of 'Underbelly', which rounds everything off in serious style.

Review: Southside Dubstar are a label that seemingly refuse to let up as they unveil a brand new project from RUFUS!, which is absolutely bristling with potent production. We kick off with incredibly hard hitting title track '2408', and original which punches its way out of the speaker with a slap in the face piece of bass design. Next, we step into the mystic melodic switches of 'Daft Crunk', which combines siren like lead synths with warbling LFO designs before the more stripped back rolling bass tones and raging horns of 'Mindset Get Wrecked' arrive on the scene with instant impact. We then finish up with the in the face synth designs of 'System Shock', rounding off this one with a serious power dosage.

Review: It's always pleasing to see long standing dubstep imprints like Southside Dubstar UK continuing to do what they do best, and that's supplying to fire for for the dance. We here see Kadet P touch down on the respected imprint with five fearsome creations, kicking off with the twisted glitchy synths of the title track 'Black Trials'. Next, we dip into the grimey movements of 'Hardly Mind' and the mammoth LFO's of 'Glance It', before the stuttered drumwork and shimmering atmospherics of 'Big Horn Sound' wade into view. We finish up with a look at the stunning harmonic structures of 'Light & Dark Tones', the perfect way to round off a wicked body of work.

Review: The highly influential and long standing Southside Dubstars imprint makes its return here, courtesy of this fabulous three track selection from the shimmering sounds of L Nix. We begin with the floating flavours and subtle sub movements of 'Hearthstone' which provides the perfect introduction, before weaving into the grittier bass tones and more aggressive rhythms of 'School Em' which brings an immediate contrast. We round off the EP with 'Bad Operator', a smooth dubwise ride through space with subtle metallic lead bass sounds clunking away amidst spacious pads and airy textures. The blend of tunes is what makes this one a real standout release for us!

Review: German murker Grawinkel steps over from Subline with his debut EP for Southside Dubstar. Four tracks heavy, the results speak for themselves... "Ping Pong" pangs with a 2007 era Dub Police style bassline, "Staile" is a mean and pensive 2am graveyard creeper while "Cap" conjures up a little trippy vocal mangling magic. Finally "Catz" closes the show with a strong bounce theme to both the well tuned drums and the springy, fizzy bassline textures. Feline this! (not sorry)
