Review: Mike Parker returns to Donato Dozzy and Neel's Spazio Disponibile after last year's first Curators volume with another distinctive release. Both "Sector 108" and "Water Demon" are different from Parker's usual approach, favouring mid-pace tempos and lopsided rhythms instead of his typical high impact dance floor techno. "Megaera" teems with the system-levelling tones that have come to define his signature sound, but they play out against a brittle electronic rhythm. However, fans of Parker's typical sound won't be disappointed; "Yog Monster" features a rumbling groove and a rising arc of electronic tones, while on "Chant With Me", he unleashes a dense tonal banger.

Review: Here's something to moisten the palette of all those who enjoy atmospheric techno: a collaborative EP from Spanish stalwart Sverca and Italian ambient techno duo Voices From The Lake. Naturally, it's a hazy and mind-altering affair, with the trio first burying bustling, surprisingly intense drum beats beneath sprawling, sound design style textures on "Circa". The paranoid creepiness continues on the bolder "Isolation", where an almost constant synth loop rides a matter-or-fact techno kick-drum pattern. There's a noticeably dystopian feel about the buzzing riffs and foreboding electronics of "Beneath The Lines", while closer "Shado" sounds like a moody techno take on early British bleep, crossed with drone style soundscapes.

Review: Buffalo, NY producer Mike Parker has long been one of techno's most prolific - not to mention consistent - talents. He's released on a multitude of labels over the last decade, and here adds the Voices From The Lake-operated Spazio Disponsible to his stellar discography. He begins in atmospheric fashion, working soft-touch drums and mind-bending electronic motifs on hypnotic opener "Undulating Frequencies", before entering the wonky zone with the sparse, delay-laden rhythm track "Three Golden Heads". He returns to the quietly effective formula explored on "Undulating Frequencies" with the similarly trippy "Invisible Arms", before completing a solid EP with the thunderous kick drums and alien riffs of standout "Two Steps Sweep".

Review: Since making his debut back in 2007, Marco Shuttle has released material on an impressive selection of labels, including Clone, The Bunker New York, and his own Eerie. Here he pops up on Donato Dozzy and Neel's freshly minted Spazio Disponible imprint, serving up three tracks of creepy, feverish techno. With its bellowing, metallic hits, rainforest textures and chiming melodies, opener "Flusso Dinamico" feels like the soundtrack to a paranoid chase through a South American jungle. "Danza Cinetica" is similarly sticky in feel, but altogether more clandestine in execution, while the title track sees him charge off into experimental tropical techno territory, via high-octane rhythms, intoxicating synthesizer lines, and intoxicating melodies.

Review: Having spent much of last year cutting up hazy acapella vocals on the sublime Sintetizzatrice full-length on Spectrum Spools, Donato Dozzy returns to the dancefloor with a fine collection of techno workouts. He begins with the deep and sleepy riffs and shuffling rhythms of "Aurrora", before heading into tribal territory with the bass-heavy percussion workout "Ritmica". As its' title suggests, "TechTresor" is a rolling tribute to Berlin's longest-running techno club, while "The Drunken Ghost" is accurately named. Sitting somewhere between electro, techno and odd electronica, its' curious melodies and weird effects sound strangely like a ghostly figure stumbling around and knocking over furniture, while looking for its' next fried chicken fix.

Review: On "Ibrida", the opening track from their first single in two years from Donato Dozzy and Giuseppe Tillieci's Voices From The Lake project, the Italian duo's intentions are clear. Raw, stripped-back, heavy and more than a little creepy, the track seems tailor-made for moments of locked-in, heads-down abandon. "258" retains the spookiness and rhythmic sparsity, lacing a wonky electronic riff over a hissing, thumping groove. It's only on closer "Secondo Tempo" that they open up a little, conjuring up a more complex, undulating rhythm amongst the wall-of-sound textures, throbbing bass and looped melodies. While it may lack the back-to-basics dancefloor appeal of its' predecessors, it is nevertheless a hugely attractive proposition. A fine start for Dozzy and Tilliecoi's Spazio Disponibile label.
