Review: Mannheim based minimal merchants Sukhumvit now appear for download and inaugurate their new digital operation with the Skytrain to Nana compilation. Starting out with FUSE London hero and Moscow Records boss Archie Hamilton with his deep and rolling groove entitled "Troublemaker", there's more quality in the form of Hessen local Fabe's stripped back and functional "Sense Is None" while his track "Panorama" gets a booming and hypnotic remix treatment for the after hours by Romanian emerging talent Melodie. If that was not enough, Archie Hamilton appears yet again with "The Universe", a great track that channels the same vibes as iO (Mulen) or Mandar with its swing fuelled rhythms and dreamy emotive chords.

Review: Hard to pronounce but easy to love, German label Sukhumvit drops a superb modern house compilation. Striking a balanced between classic house influences and modern styles, it starts with the deep, flowing chords of Dakpa's "Lila", before moving into the stripped back "Supernature" by Giuliano Lomonte. "Chuvit" keeps on changing direction, and straight afterwards, moves back to the 90s deep house influences of Durrrred's "A Quarter To Ten", where jazzy keys come together with muffled vocals and subtle percussion to create a wonderfully evocative arrangement. Dakpa appears again with the disco loops of "Espiral", while this unusual and wilfully unpredictable compilation concludes with the garage rhythm meets minimal vocal cut-ups of Ho Do Ri's "Fog City Neighbourhood Cab."
