Review: Veteran nu-disco types Cosmonauts return with a new single. As its title suggests, "Stardust" is a heavily electronic nu-disco workout with its head in the heavens and its feet firmly on the dancefloor (though said dancefloor is probably on Mars). It's bubbly, bouncy, possibly even juicy - all floating vocal samples, alien melodies and brash synth motifs. Of the trio of accompanying remixes, it's Justin Robertson's slightly mental Deadstock 33s rub that really hits the spot, thanks to an abrasive combination of spacey synth noises, ragging acid lines and sub-bass flavour. There's also a fine rework from Linntronix, who turns "Stardust" into a cheeky '80s synth-disco banger.
