Review: French electro producer Troxler marks his return to System Recordings with this sparkling new EP, boasting the gritty filter funk of "Disko", the elegant octave chords of "Wowo!" and, best of all, the warped and wondrous "Rewired", which piles on a sinister set of twisted bass and lead sounds over a disco-house beat. A must-have release for fans of amped-up French electro.

Review: Anglo-American production duo Defunct! hook up with Brighton MC Loc E and singer A Girl And A Gun (aka Sophie B) for this huge electro single which comes backed up with an armoury of equally fizzy mixes. While the original uses one-shot, Ed Banger-style drums and high end distortion to frame the shouty duet vocals, Figure's mix breaks down into a hardcore time-signature change after a 4/4 intro which sets off the madness nicely. Hoaxx does a great job reimagining the tune too - piling on layers of Daft Punk-inspired vocoder riffs - as does Stereoyouth who flips the trend and goes for a deep-ish house treatment full of old-school stabs and boogie bass.

Review: We really don't know how this man does it, the tag 'tune machine' could never be more fitting then with MDX. The most recent alias from Mike Dierickx, better known as M.I.K.E. or Push... or Plastic Boy. As the title suggests this guise is all about the driving techier sound of his spectrum, albeit with his show stopping trance melodies still doing their thing. On the remix, hot property Marc Simz slams it up into 7th gear.. Making this a seriously killer tune!!
