Review: During the 2000s, Duncan Stamp had plenty of underground success as one half of Mock & Toof, with their brand of dubbed-out disco and wayward nu-disco appearing on labels including DFA Records. For much of the last decade, though, he's been doing his thing as Coral D, mostly releasing music on his own imprint Tears. 'Alright', his first release of 2024, tends towards the Balearic, offering a slow-motion slab of spaced-out digi dub rich in deep, bubbly bass, spaced-out effects and cascading synthesiser lead lines. It comes in two variations: an original mix that boasts (sampled) speech dotted throughout, and a vocal-free instrumental.
