Next up on the label is Stu Rafferty aka Bully Beatz, who returns with some hard edged old school jump- up vibes for the Stomping Crew. First up, the West Bromwich based producer serves up the wonky, steppin' party starter "Oh! Love", followed by the sexy saxophone-led roller "Light Of The Night" reminiscent of classic Full Cycle material, while "Waiting" goes out all guns blazing in classic late '90s fashion on this raging techstep monster. Fierce!

Review: One of Ten Ton Beats' most consistent and long-standing artists MQ returns with another broad-armed celebration of all things jumpy and bumpy. As you might expect from Mr Quality, the energy levels are through the roof and shoes are out of the window as he goes in bassline after bassline after bassline. Highlights include 'No Sweat' thanks to its soulful intro and old D Minds style punchy one-hit bass riff and 'Street Knowledge', thanks to its epic sample and savage scattergun hook. And that's only half the EP. Invest some time in MQ right now.

Review: Big bad and very very heavy! Ten Ton hit the big tonne with this overweight menu of murkery. Featuring some of the label's oldest sparring partners and freshest fighters, across the album we're navigated through some of the darkest, dirtiest and dankest corners of Project Lando's imprint. Stars of the show include Project Lando himself, who delivers a whole string of sick remixes and originals (including an immense hair-raising twist on MQ's 'Roll Out' and an insane VIP of 'Suck Out'), Shodan, who presents a whole brace of releases (including the super-charged euphoria of 'Soulfire') and the rising styles of Skuff who tags up with Iffy for the lush vocal track 'Illusions' and the trembling dark liquid bumper 'New Tones'. And that's just the tip of this centennial iceberg. 100 thumbs up.

Review: Skuff has an enviable history of producing deep, rolling beats and this EP on Ten Ton Beats is no different, with the producer perfectly blending rolling basslines with subtle sampling under the beautiful soft vocals of Iffy guiding you through the track. 'Sounds Out There' is simple in its elegance and yet rough in all the right places, with a catchy drum hook that stretches out on the intro before rollling through into a barebones main body of punchy low frequencies. 'Stories To Tell' is the softest with its funky guitar flicks, a soulfulness mirrored by the luxurious synth touches of 'Sunflowers'. It's the title track that steals the show, as a hard-hitting but melancholic arrangement perfectly summarises the beauty of this release. Yes Skuff!

Review: The man previously known as MQ returns to Ten Ton Beats with a full-strength collection of forms, flavours and pure fire. 'Mustang' takes the lead with a classic Ram style rough funk, 'Genesis' takes more of an emotional, synth-laced approach while 'Society' is a straight-up breakbeat bulldozer that nods politely at the seminal days of Planet V. Finally 'Losing' brings a little vocal flavour to end the EP with a big sample and an even bigger depth plunge bass drone. Top gear.

Review: Edging closer and closer to the big 100, Ten Ton Beats whip out another massive "All Killers" collection. Consistently showcasing the most exciting talents at the forefront of the jump-up sound, episode eight is no exception as TTB friends old and new all collide on the collection. Highlights include the minimal slap-about from Ruff Cut's LVB ("Bad Boy Dub"), some high frequency blasts on the raucous "Deal Wid It" by Conrad Subs, several part jammers from MQ (the bubbly "Bootcut Slut" and the dark style basher "Human Filth") GAW's barking mad "Loser" and a whole slew of savage collaborations from Project Lando including the powerful message and mid 2000s Logistics style of "Drop The Knife". Absolute murderation!

Here he's firmly sitting down in the roling chair, wiggling his bum and getting comfortable, as he lays out across a one-tracker on Ten Ton Beats in spectacular fashion. 'Origins' is an especially potent slice, as sharp wooden drum hits permeate throughout its wobbling, swelling bassline that packs a shedload of attitude. It's subtle yet driving, and we're big fans.

Project Lando feat Mc J.O.K
Review: Project Lando is teaming up with MC J.O.K for a stylistically diverse double sided single over on Ten Ton Beats, which is split up into a drum & bass and hip-hop version of the same tune - 'Drop The Knife'. The 170 iteration is powerful and rolling, with a sub heavy beat that rolls out with a reckless feeling of abandon, a sensation that's carried over into MC J.O.K's menacing vocal presence. The hip-hop flip is doubly as excellent, with a spit that carries a resonant message for many beyond it's musical excellence. Lovely.

He also teams up with Damageman on 'Finally', a powerful weapon that makes tidy use of a cool little sample to give that extra bit of oomph to an already big drop.

Review: Dec James has developed a bit of a reputation over the past couple of years for his outlandish approach to making jump-up that sounds, well, bloody insane. He never holds back and this release on Ten Ton Beats is definitely not close to being more restrained, with Dec James experimenting with across several different styles and textures. 'Skyline' is interesting, with hypnotic stabs making up the main arrangement in a stripped back roller. Check these out to hear something properly wicked.

Review: Project Lando and MC D-Low are being given the remix treatment by the two experienced producers that are Jayline and Damageman and both have come out with the goods on this one. Jayline takes 'Fire in my Belly' to the next level, energy wise, ripping up all the rulebooks, taking off the limiter and putting his foot onto the gas pedal. The bassline on this one is one of the biggest you'll hear all year, for sure. Damageman takes things down a slightly choppier route, with a punishing set of drums undercutting a stabby, rolling bassline. Top stuff.

Review: Project Lando, aside from having an extremely cool artist name, is landing with a slick little single over on Ten Ton Beats that combines a range of styles, tones and sounds. The A-side 'This Generation' is a classic ragga roller with recognisable sampling, a wicked little vocal and a nice stabbing back end. The flip, however, is different, with Project Lando remixing 'Nice & Sexy' by MQ in incredibly creative style with a wobbling, wallowing bassline that contrasts perfectly with the funky steel pan top line. We love this one.

Review: Mystery abounds as the anonymous-but-clearly-experienced Project Lando serves up four more bullets for all our future shoot-outs. "Bruce Leroy" wriggles with a classic jungle swing and some disgusting sub action while "Suck Out" hits with a powerful early 2000s riff and bounced out b-line. Deeper into the release we strike heads-down star-gazing gold as a turbulent sludgy bassline and electroid arpeggio entwine with cosmic effects. Last but not least is a VIP of his previous cut "We Run The Dance". Gun fingers at the ready!

Review: Ten Ton Beats are back with Fire In My Belly by Project Lando featuring MC D-Low on vocal duties, a full-throated jungle single of rave-sized proportions with two versions, a vocal mix and an instrumental. Stuttering jungle breaks cut out into a sick vocal line on the former, steppy footwork-esque drums cutting in on the drop, rolling out over a wicked reece bass. Constantly fluctuating drums give this track loads of character, especially the switch up into full-speed D&B. Without the vocals this tune turns into something darker and shout out to those behind this release for including an instrumental, which pleases both those who like a bit of humanity and those who tend to opt for full-on dancefloor tear outs. Sick tunes.

Review: Following their debut on the 5 years of Ten Ton Beats album label boss Rekless and Damageman's Rekage project returns to the scene of the crime with two more gunfinger toting showdowns. "Stutter" grumbles and grazes around the unmistakable lyrical shots of Fatman D while "Gearheads" does the cockney thug shuffle by way of a gurgling bassline, trippy laser FX and few casual F bombs. Review: Here comes the remix! Just over a year ago Ten Ton Beats blessed us with the near-evangelical vibes of Dangerous's "Get You Down". A future rave classic with blissed vocals from Mary B, it's now been subverted by Freek and Project Lando. The former gets some serious weight behind the bass while the latter cooks up a sweet chugging rhythm with some seriously deft percussion touches on the groove. Quintessential remix business.

Review: Ten Ton Beats was started in 2011 by Rekless, since then the imprint has discovered many exciting debutants and become a gallant stepping stone for many artists. 'Flat Earth' is slow moving and raw with sharp drums, a disgustingly low sub and maybe one the funniest vox samples we've heard in a while. 'Addict VIP' is (for want of better words) an absolute banger, the slow, understated wavy sub is just so naughty you become totally transfixed by it, it's a good job there's a handful of whistles and drum crashes thrown in to wake you up. Damageman's remix of MQ's 'Slammin' sees simple breaks layered with early rave chords, wails and vox. 'Deadly Force' is deep and dark, bleeding the dirtiness jump up, with eloquent techy elements mixed with the occasion snip of soft female vocal, we are rating this track highly.

Review: Fresh from the damage of "Power Struggle" last year, Brum's big double B barges his way back on to Rekless's big double T with two more bullish bruisers. "Blueberry Piff" sparks up a robo rage with a lazer lashing bass riff strong enough to disable entire cosmoses while "Boo" sets the scene of a lonely foggy graveyard stroll before spooked-out low end licks jump out from the shadows and do a little more than the title suggests. Review: Ten Ton Beats barge into the new year with one of their longest-standing and consistent family members - Dangerous. As always, it's a game of shades and exciting contrast. "Get You Down" licks up with a beautiful, early 90s style piano hook over which Mary B lays down the right amount of sensuality for peak rushes. "Friend Or Foe" ups the aggy factor as Complex collides into the mix for some obscene, soaking wet lazer bass steppy fun with added horror score string drama. With friends as ugly as this, who needs foes?

Review: Shove this one up your jumper: Bully Beatz returns with another full-strength four-tracker. "Power Struggle" arrests us with its concrete bassline before dropping into a sci-fi style synth texture that completely flips the vibe. "Wet Break" kicks with tightly-rolled triplets, an early 2000s style riff and intriguing, space-travelling minimal breakdown while "S.O.B Story" reminds us of the power and muscle of drumstep when it's applied sparingly and savagely while "Doomed" spits its words of warning with pure concentrated bass venom. Powerful.

Review: Currently celebrating five years in the game, Ten Ton take a moment to reflect on damage they've caused in the past: the Sub Focus style space race vibe of "Addicted", the high end harmonics and classic jump up hookiness of "Big Phat Bass", Thunda Banton's MC-precision fire on "Out My Head" and the years of rave all condensed and diluted into pure filth by Damageman on his WTF-loaded reload. Ten Ton and getting heavier by the day - some of these releases go back to the early pages of the label's history but still stand the test of time today. Testify... Not all labels can boast the same skills.

Not flooding the game but never falling off the radar, the label has been a consistent source of uncompromised heaviness. Here we celebrate this with a raffish cross-section of dancefloor styles that really do live up to the label's weighty title: the metallic bass rasps of "Missing In Action", the snare perfection and silky sub warps of "Deadly Force", the tongue-in-cheek Voltage-style mischief of "Funk Inspectors", the Twisted Individual barks of "Chapter". Technically some of these bangers weigh more like 12 or 13 tons. But that's our little secret.

Review: Hot on the heels of his "Fear" EP on Eternal Muzic, UK demolitionist returns to Ten Ton with another clutch of hurters. "Filthy Animal" is straight out of the classic jump-up playbook with its classic movie sample and tongue-in-cheek bassline. Digging deeper into the EP we're hit by warble inversions as "Sound As A Pound" gets all heads-down and introspective while "Hard Like A Hammer" flicks the switch with a lion-roaring bassline and amen shattering fills. Finally "Dark Moment" sees Damagement stepping away from the undiluted jump-up with a well-crafted, break-shaking roller complete with old school synths and a brain-melting breakdown.

Review: South east soundboy Damageman digs deep into the jump psyche with this muscular collection of big bass bust-ups. "This Music" comes with a really rounded smooth bassline that almost purrs in a similar way to Urban Takeover many moons ago. "What The Fuck Was That" is much more upfront and gritty, coming on strong like a Logan D or Tyke blunderbuss. Elsewhere "Tricks" combines at least four different basses to create one overwhelmingly nasty message, "3 Seconds" rasps with a cement-melting metallic bassline and wins the 'best sample' award this season while "Control" closes the show with a bubbly bass dynamic that's not dissimilar to a young Original Sin. Comparisons in this league don't come any higher.

Review: Named after the fictional AI protagonist of "System Shock 2", Shodan presents an appropriately glitchy, chaotic soundscape filled with stuttering sentences, bleepy melodies and varying rhythms and melodies. The title track "Soulfire" blends harmonious piano keys with pumping, Euro-influenced dancefloor panache; "The Hills Have Eyes" is rather reminiscent of late 90s Ram-meets-Bad Company at times with acerbic percussion and driving bass, "Namless" blends sci-fi with whirring modern day SFX and final track "Jazzcat" combines the smoky and sultry with gently rolling breaks, drawing us to the end of the EP.
