Review: Since their inception, the Terroryhthm releases we have had the pleasure of seeing land in the store have always inspired an uplifting, ethereal energy, a theme that Yedgar gladly continues with this four track expanse. Kicking off with 'Mythic' alongside Sorsari, we are greeted by a wash of beautiful pad structures and sweeping subs below, closely followed by the more grimey melodies and choppy drum work of 'The Time Has Come' and the ascending arpeggios of 'So Lost'. The vibes continue with their incredibly harmonic approach with the chiming leads and crunchy percussive reverberations of 'Life Cycle' before finishing up with 'Set You Free', a big room, wave-emulating floor filler, stuffed full of good energy.

Review: There are few compilations that hold as much weight and gather as much excitement as Plastician's Terrorhythm masterclass known as 'Wavepool'. Today we take in their third official volume, which sees 33 different artists join forces for a sumptuous collection of icy melodies and glistening soundscapes, showcasing more than ever how versatile the wave sound has become. The roster is vast, as we see heavyweight wave representatives such as Kareful, Ravver, Rapture4D, Klasey Jones and even Plastician himself get involved for a truly mind blowing tracklisting. The whole project is outstanding, but if we were forced into naming highlights, the glistening arpeggios and hellish atmospheric design of 'Take Me' from Nick Neutronz immediately jumps out at us, alongside the pure euphoria of Deadcrow's 'Unity' and the big room synthesizer pressure of 'Skillit' from Brothel. Incredible stuff as per!

Wave Machine
Wave Machine - (4:06) 121 BPM
Review: Since the inception of Terrorhyhm, Plastician's infamy within the UK dance music scene has grown and grown, to the point at which he now sits, which is a certified legend. Through all the different phases of his career he has remained ahead of the curve, with this latest single entitled 'Wave Machine' dropping right into that pattern. The layout takes a halftime structure, with space-age synthesizer lines and trap-style drum expressions rolling it at about 130bpm, delivering an emotional punch of harmonic bliss. It's Plastician at his stripped back best and we can't get enough of it.

Review: As far as labels in the UK go, there aren't many who seem to hit the nail on the head so often as Terrorhythm. Their unique diverse catalogue has played host to so many bangers over the years, with this new four tracker from Mod Sens providing some more for the list. We kick off with the title track 'Hollow', a stunning post-garage vibe out, jam packed with swirling melodic swipes and crunchy drum maneuvers. This is then followed by the more high ended harmonies and syncopated rhythmic patterns of 'Rewind Action', alongside 'My Mercy', a shimmering moog-lead breakbeat masterclass. We also finish with some breaksy action as 'Route 11' supplies us with more spacey instrumentation to round out a terrific selection!

Review: It's always a pleasure to see new music from the legendary Plastician, a producer whose place in UK underground's history books is beyond secured. It's clear that alongside numerous live streams he has been keeping himself busy in the studio as he unveils 10 scorching new originals within his 'Deep In The Drives' LP, courtesy of his beloved Terrorhythm. The tracklisting boasts everything from the emotive harmonic structures of 'Alone Time' to the more classic grimey switches of 'Gully' and 'Magma'. Plastician's versatility is his strongest attribute, which is what makes this project so powerful, with our favourites including the old school snare chops and shifting melodic sampling of 'Resolution', alongside 'Jackal Riddim', which reworks a classic grime melody into something completely new!

Juche - "ENight" - (4:11) 122 BPM
Review: We are absolutely thrilled to see the return of Terrorhythm, one of the UK's most forward thinking label projects. They here return alongside label founder Plastician and relative newcomer Juche for a spicy single entitled 'ENight. Firstly, we take it Juche's euphoric original version of the track, which is driven wholeheartedly by a stunning array of rave-ready synthesizer designs, pulsating away above crispy drum textures below. At this point, Plastician arrives with his vibrant rethink of the track entitled 'ENight revisited', a very savvy garage flip of the original, focussing in on the tracks stunning vocal textures with a new set of crunchy drum designs. Awesome stuff!

Review: It's extremely difficult to not get excited at the prospect of a new Terrorhythm release, and our excitement is truly justified after a listen through this brand new project from Tracksuit Goth. We begin with the high pressure 808 triplets and rolling percussive weaves of the title track 'Blacksmith' before 'Scum' lowers the tone with a more minimalistic approach, focussing on eerie atmospheric notation. The stunning high ended melodies, subtle horn influxes and rolling drum designs of 'Picnic Rope' then follow in style, before the super grimey synthesizer slides of 'Like The Old Days' put a fantastic final dash of finesse onto the whole project.

Review: It's always an exciting occasion to find yourself with a saucy new Terrorhythm drop to listen to, which is justified here as Onhell steps out for a top quality LP project. We kick off with the godly glitched out arpeggiators of 'Intuition', which is chased up by the pure power of 'Beginners Mind Fuck', dripping in potent synth energy from start to finish. Next, the title track 'Kill Your Self Doubt', arrives with a more ambient flavour, followed by the twisted distorted madness of both 'Hallelujah' and 'No Bad Notes'. Finally we finish up with a tasty collaboration as Trim joins the party with typically abstract vocal work on 'Graveyard Shift', tying this one up in style.

Review: We here are tuned into the latest helping from Terrorhythm, a label that so rarely disappoints with its output. We were very happy to see a combined line up of both Vexxy and Jato, two producers who have been picking up some serious steam in recent months. We kick off with Vexxy's super emotive 'Night Shift' creation, packed with colorful sample slaps and intricate melodic structures. We then dip into the epic, eskimo infused riffs and potent sub lines of Jato's 'Nylon', before diving into a pair of classy remixes as the pair overhaul eachother's original creations with fantastic results.

Review: For us, there are few labels influencing the landscape of electronic music in the UK as much as Terrorhythm at the moment. This latest release shows exactly what we are talking about as Gloomy ventures fourth with some incredibly wavy flavours over this four track extravaganza. The title track 'Green Boson' is a grimey behemoth, stacked with rapidly shuffling drum punches and shimmering synth leads, followed by the slightly slower arrangement of 'On Hold'. From here we dive into the stunning synthetic harmonies of 'Substances' before Rapture4D joins the party for a very effective team up on 'Magnetic Attraction', which is packed to the rim with catchy glitched out lead lines.

Review: There's no doubt in our mind that 2018 was a definitively stand out year for Plastician's now world renowned Terrorhythm imprint, putting together some of the most innovative bass music releases of the last 12 months. They return here courtesy of Klasey Jones with his stunning new 'Blood Money' LP, This one is a truly phenomenal body of work, showcasing his skills in the 'Wave' genre across the fuzzy soundscaping of 'Midnight Cruiser', the emotive harmonic structures of 'Testarossa Dreams', the purple riffs of 'Eyes Of Luna' and the impact compositional structures of 'Valentino's Demise'. For us, the two stand outs are 'Trial', which boasts some shimmering rhythmic mastery, along with 'Pluto', which digs out a combination of scattered arpeggios and vocal stabs, creating audible bliss.

Review: We were thrilled to see this one hit the shelves as the living legend that is Plastician touches down on his own, highly appreciated 'Terrorhythm' imprint for three tracks of pure fire. From the off, new school grime dons Jafro and Renz jump forward on the electrifying title track 'Anyway', providing us with some insightful flows and punchy lyricism. Plastician shows his grimey routes throughout this project as he flexes his synthy skills on 'Hit Somebody', which brings together classic grime drum and gun sounds coupled with an evil lead melody. These two tracks along with the instrumental version to 'Anyway' are sure to cause a ruckus in the rave.

Review: Croydon's Chris Reed aka Plastician tells us that his usual grime shenanigans are held back for their own release in the near future, following this current release entitled Overdue: an EP named due to the lateness of the release, as well as an ode to his two children who were born beyond full-term pregnancy. All good things are worth waiting for he says, on this ode to his wife and kids for putting up with him, and a result of his love hate relationship with music. Across these seven tracks, his dubstep roots are still audible, with a healthy influx of Wavepool/Terrorhythm influenced numbers to boot - picking up up where his last LP Beg To Differ (2007) left off.

It sees Jones stray into higher tempos on his most versatile release yet. A collection of tracks produced with influences from a neo-futuristic vision of the far east. From the lush future bass of "War In The Bando", the haunting future beat experiment of "Sharimar" and the deep dubstep of "Vertical Loops". The 'Avow' EP shows us a completely different side to the bristol native, showcasing a more colourful, emotive production style, with tracks like 'Never Gonna' and the title track delving deep into the newly formed "Wave" movement. Even with these incredible compositions we still get a slice of classic compa with the droned out weighty arrangements of 'Crystal Gaze' and 'Send Nudes'.

Review: Klasey Jones' much anticipated return to Plastician's Terrorhythm lands in the shape of "Eleven". Said to be influenced by the TV series Stranger Things and other synth soundtracks of the '80s, Klasey's unmistakable style bleeds through 11 tracks tinged with his trademark fusion of deep southern rap production and cinematic ambiences. We particularly enjoyed the deeply emotive future trap of Until Dawn, the sci-fi R'n'B of Heart Of Gold and the Autonomic sounding half time drum and bass of Nebula Empire among others on here. Just two projects into the mystical young producer's discography, Klasey Jones turns out yet again with a truly original and forward-thinking piece that will stay in heavy rotation for years to come.

Review: Wavepool 2 is mixed and curated by Plastician, whose Rinse FM radio show was the platform for this movement to be brought the wider public attention. His Survey parties in Phonox being the initial club night where the scene established itself outside of the internet. This time we have a 29 track album of the tracks: the collection featuring some of the Wave movement's key players including Klimeks, Kareful, Skit, Sorsari, Deadcrow, Anubis XIII, Hnrk, Noah B, Brothel and more. It's clear to see that Plastician (real name Chris Reed) has called upon some of the scene's most noted producers to stake its claim. - this album is another statement from the man from Croydon whose sound is not trying to disappear into obscurity any time soon.

Review: To land on Plastician's Terrorhythm label after only a few years in the game is a sign that you are doing pretty damn well as an artist. Nottingham's Glacci aka Kyle Cook returns to the veteran's imprint with a debut album, a solid 11 tunes worth of bass meandering and percussive exploration. "Death Dealer" steals all the attention at the start, coming through with some outstandingly well-balanced melodies and beat bundles, all the while retaining a firm r&b flex on the whole thing. We also love the future-minded pop "Naluri", alongside the vintage vocal samples of "Mirror Cluster". While all of these tunes bring something different and personable to the equation, there's something about Glacci's vision that binds them all together and, crucially, makes his sound stand out from the crowd.

Review: Dutch dubstep up and comer Deadcrow returns with the Light Trails EP where he throws down some sinister and street level beats straight outta the future. Bear witness to the grimy wonk and wobble of the mysterious jam "Strayed", the uplifting future beats of "Wings" and its vicious trap snare assault, as well as the down mind drum and bass journey of "Nowhere" which further showcases this promising young producer; real name Felix Ruocco and his capabilities. We are certainly intrigued by what's next from this hellboy from The Hague!

Review: yes, yes, it's Plastician's Terrorhythm label back with another blasting bass bullet from the mysterious Skuls! This guy impressed us with his debut release for the label a while back because it tells us two important things about both the label and the genre: A. a tune like "Blok" is testament to Plastician's continuous thirst for the next best thing, where that new nugget of bass-weight can be best placed. This slowed-down, juiced-up juke music with a UK feel to its beats and mutant bass tones - top gear. B. A tune like "Knuckles" gives us an insight into the future of UK bass music; this particular tune is a masterful blend of r&b, leftfield electronica, and two-step. If you're the sort of DJ or music lover who is looking for something new, a little fresher and more daring, then take the hit and dig this

Review: Plastician's Terrorythm label has become synonymous with the Wave genre (think dreamy trap with grime beats). Having rinsed a dubplate of the genre-defining "Children Of Gaia", by Canada's Sorari, he's now managed to sign him - "Words Away" being the resulting EP. Featuring five tracks inspired by a nostalgic revisit of Final Fantasy 9, this music is the soundtrack of pure escapism. Highlights include the Salem-esque melancholia of the title track, the sweeping emotion of "Aurelie" and of course the warped synth-step of "Children Of Gaia". A future classic for sure.

Review: Before we give you a taster of the music within, it's imperative that we praise London's Plastician for his contribution to UK dance music; grime and dubstep in particular. The Croydon bossman was there in the early days of pre-dubstep, and his sets are still some of the best bits of DJing you'll ever here; scout his sets out on old grime blogs and you'll know what we mean. Here he is in 2016 on Terrorhythm, and his new outlook has a lot more in common with R&B and pop than with grime. "Do What You Feel" is a deep, sensual bass sweller, while "Sonic Anxiety" is one for the downtempo heads, and if you thought that wasn't deep enough, there's even a beatless remix of "DO What You Feel". Raahh...

Review: Plastician's wave machine is stuck on full blast right now. Discovering blisteringly fresh beatcraft talent on a weekly basis for his Rinse show; the very best end up on Terrorhythm for full exposure. New York's Noah B is a fine case in point. Making his TR debut he lays down four starlit sounds; "Azure" lives up to its name with the gentle synthetic ebb and flow while "Contact" takes us deeper into Noah's cosmos with just the right amount of asteroid turbulence from the bass. Coming on strong with dubby elements, "XXXX" focuses on the minor key feels with broader space coded deep around the hook while "All 4 The Love" cunningly hides some classic hardcore breakbeats under its snuggly sonic duvet. Beautiful. We suspect you'll be hearing a lot from Noah in the near future.

Sorcery
Sorcery - (3:25) 134 BPM
Review: Master DJ and grime pioneer, Plastician, is back after many pockets of hiatuses, and he means business, as per usual. It should be noted that while he was instrumental in the grime scene, his work was equally important for the development of dubstep over the years. This latest tune, "Sorcery", comes on Terrorhythm, and it's deeper than his usual stuff, where sparse gunshots blow off from docile, starry synths and low-swinging bits of sub-bass. It's deeper and less immediate than his usual material, but it's executed sublimely.

Review: Fresh from appearing on San Holo's Bitbird label, Beaudamian continues this year's rich vein of form with an absurdly on-point trio on Plastician's Terrorhythm. Each cut plays a vital role in different stages of the night; "Rx1" is 100 per cent purple with a dash of Art Of Noise for positive texture. "Don't Do Drugs" takes us much deeper into the weirder moments of the night as we seemingly take a stroll through another man's mushroom paranoia while "Valdezarza" plays the consummate banger when every single person in the building is shivering the icy licks, militant drums and Bassnectar-level bass hype. Concrete.
