Review: Tevo Howard's decided to have a Lazy Afternoon, and we're all invited. The eccentric Chicagoan sets the tone with "Brother To Brother (House Mix)", a lo-fi treat built around dreamy pads, chiming melodies, sampled boogie bass and richly undulating chords. "Hold On" adds a little electro and synth pop into the mix, whilst retaining the same core aesthetic, while "On The Move" is a little more driving, but no less fuzzy. "Relax & Grind" sounds like synthesized dub disco after a few too many happy pills, while title track "Lazy Afternoon" is a breezy treat, full of Spanish sounding bass riffs, flowery pianos, and curiously odd effects.
