Time Is Now (UK)

Time Is Now (UK)

As Bristol’s music scene continues to pioneer new sounds and styles across the world of music, the labels that house those sounds must be celebrated. When it comes to innovation, there aren’t many places with it in more of an abundance than Time Is Now (UK), a fantastic sub-label of the Shall Not Fade imprint. Since launching with two releases in April of 2020, they have been on a fantastic streak, welcoming artists such as Wilfy D, Soul Mass Transit System D Jason, Baby J, Interplanetary Criminal and more to showcase their unique approach to garage music. The experimental side of UKG can safely be described as their speciality zone, with their releases continuing to grow in popularity and allowing the Shall Not Fade team access to an outlet for the more “outside the box” styles of production they receive. The quality levels have continued to rise since the labels inception and we can’t see that pattern changing any time spoon.

Review: There really does seem to be no stopping the tide that is emerging out of the Time Is Now camp, as they continue their frankly outstanding run of releases with this brand new collaborative effort from both Coldpast & Tuff Trax. The EP has an old school feel from the jump, opening up with steadily bubbling twists and grooves of 'Fluffs', incorporating vibrant vocal chops and tidily arranged drum designs. From here, the nostalgia inducing chord progressions of 'Groovekiller' and rave-ready piano riffs of 'Half Full' make themselves known, before 'Tigerstyle' lets us jump into something a little more outside the box, focussing on subtle woodwind flicks and moody chord progressions. Finally, 'Tripla' delivers a subby touchdown to draw the EP to a close, with a luscious bass instrument guiding us towards a tidy finale.

Review: As always with Time Is Now, the quality levels are extremely high as they continue to explore their 'White' series, keeping the spirit of white label culture alive and well. This time Frankel & Harper are in the driving seat, with the pitch riding breaksy overlays and gritty bass action of 'Buffalo Skank' kicking us off. Next, the pressure increases as the dizzying synth warbles and 2-stepping drum lines of 'Oblivion' roll into view, closely followed by the more euphoric soundscaping and spacey pad arrangements of 'Taz &', again layered above some highly energetic breaks work of course. Finally, the Bakey remix brings some serious heat forward as techy sub warbles lay the foundations beneath a more stripped back drum set than the original, giving us a cool finale to zone out too.

Review: With a serious history in the UK underground, it's exciting to see the legendary DJ Pantha touching down on Time Is Now for an exploration into his own back catalogue as we take in 'The 140 Archives'. We begin with the chirping violin sweeps and lively LFO triplets of 'Hurry The Fuck Up', a proper throwback original, before the more uncooth synthetic madness of 'Duddley Riddim' is then unleashed to up the energy levels rapidly. From here, 'Vibez' takes us down a different direction as crunchy tripletted drum rhythms play a lead role atop eerie string sets throughout, before more wobbly abandon arrives in the form of 'Blackberry Riddim'. We then take in the sweeping synthesiser melodies and alarm-ridden backdrops of 'Protein Shake', taking us right back to the early days of grime & bassline fusion, before an experimental send off in 'Four By Niche' sees the project draw to a close. This is a project for the ages for sure!

Review: Since the start of lockdown back in 2020, it's safe to say that Daffy has been on an incredible run, taking his unique take of garage influences around the country with a high quality string of releases. He returns to Time Is Now for the latest in their 'White' series, opening up with the patois vocal displays and nostalgic bassline manoeuvres of 'Higher' arriving in style. Next, some swampy bass action is unveiled across the low-ended warbles of 'Darker Days', with the euphoric vocal loops and rave-like delays of 'Take It Easy' then upping the ante once more. Finally, pure 4x4 flavour as 'Warped' is unleashed to deliver one final dancefloor delight before rounding the EP off. Another fantastic outing for both Daffy and the Time Is Now team.

Review: What a fabulous box of treats we have on display here as we see numerous different garage heavyweights make their way back to Time Is Now for the fourth edition of their 'Time Is Now Allstars' collection. First up, Soul Mass Transit System touch down with their first of two appearances, welcoming Sage Introspekt along for the ride with a thumping roller named 'Sexy Thing', before Yemi delivers an unexpected jungle-driven twissup on 'Run Sound'. Next up, Soul Mass return, this time alongside the legendary Killa P for funk infused masterclass on 'Blocked', something very different indeed. From here, Daffy delivers a serious system weapon on the breaksy throws of 'Check 1', next to Groovy D's more old school influenced 'Don'tCareBoutMe'. Finally, Stones Taro unleashes a fabulous display of moogy magnificence on 'Rise Up', giving us one final touch of brilliance before closing off.

Review: The pace at which Time Is Now have been able to amass this fantastic roster of artists is definitely not to be sniffed at, with Y U QT joining the ranks for another powerful four track display. First up, a colourful combination of chiming melodic drifts and nostalgic vocal prowess are made very apparent on 'Fantasy' alongside the wonderful Ell Murphy, with the dazzling harmonic struts of 'Buss Down' then giving us another jumpy addition, focussing on booming drum rolls and a big bassline to match. Next, some more masterful vocal chopping is on display as 'Leaving All Your Cares Behind' gives us another euphoric adventure, focussing on bright chord-driven keys and subtle horn toots, before 'Just Be Friends' gives us a shuffling slice of goodness to close things out. Another very well arranged selection for the Time Is Now team!

Review: The Time Is Now rampage continues to roll as their hectic release schedule thickens even further, this time welcoming the sounds of Dominus (UK) to the table, delivering five bubbling originals. We open up with the hard hitting drum stutters and floaty backdrops of 'Psycho Blud', which goes on to descend into a seriously sub-heavy piece of weaponry, sampling a classic like from 'Kidulthood' in the process, next to the chiming percussion and constantly shifting atmospheric pressures of 'On Fire'. From here, the intensity heightens once again with 'Sultan' giving us another rave-ready rumbler, focussing on shuffling shakers and warbling bass tones, next to the chomping rhythms and wacky LFO textures of 'Sweet Enough'. Finally, Dayne Harper arrives to give 'Psycho Blud' a more dance-driven overhaul, putting the final touches on a very enjoyable collection.

Review: It's a rarity that we don't see a new Time Is Now drop in our weekly excursions these days, as they this time welcome the sounds of Holloway inside to explore some seriously cool, futuristic sonic design. We open up with the stumbling drum rhythms and dreamy organ chords of 'Into The 00's', giving us a shimmering introduction jammed-full of character. From here, a more raucous tone emerges as the grizzly sub energy of 'Destiny' arrives with a slap, followed by the old school speed-garage sounding bass rolls of 'Ode To Shakeys', again upping the intensity. Finally, the nostalgic, post-jungle drones of 'Hypnotiq' are let loose to close out the EP, giving us some high energy throwback flavour. Lovely work.

Review: The tide of Time Is Now continues to roll in as they once again deliver a tidy collection of originals, welcoming Peaky Beats inside for a selection of four original garage rollers. We open up with 'Road Runner', utilizing old school chord progressions and sine-wave driven bass instrumentation for a bubbling introductory outing, followed closely by the more shuffling percussion and dizzying organ taps of 'Cats From The Back'. From here, the intensity amplifies significantly as the raucous breaksy overlays and warping bassline action of 'XL' then arrive with instant impact, before Yosh arrives to deliver a cooling remix display as 'Road Runner' is given an even more blippy rethink, rounding off the project in style.

Review: What an exciting link up we have here as the veteran sounds of Daffy and the explosive styles of PJ Bridger join forces for yet another fabulous addition to the Time Is Now catalogue. Opening up the selection, 'We Come Dere' works wonders as a haunted, distant 2-step homage to original broken-beat flavours, followed closely by more moody energy as 'Way Back When' focusses more-so on bulbous LFO crunches and intense shaker-lead drum stutters. The pair then dive into a move breaks-driven design as 'Dutty' provides us with another dubwise-infused room shaker, before jumping into the remixes. First up, Bakey steps up for an intricate, 808-centred rethink of 'Way Back When', deploying colourful organ chords and more of original dubwise FX, before Ollie Rant gives 'Way Back When' a much more dancefloor orientated overhaul, focussing on skippy chord progressions and soulful vocal samples, giving us a couple of very exciting alternate versions to close things off.

Y U QT kicks us off with a 2-step masterclass, alternating between shimmering chord stabs and dippy LFO basslines, with the glittering atmospherics and distant vocal lines of 'Regatta' from Cortese and straight 4x4 moogy pulses of Prozak's 'Next To You' in close pursuit. From here, Yosh takes a bit switch up and delivers the post-jungle inspired drum work of 'To Me', which again ups the pace of the whole compilation, with the shuffling 2-step drives and nostalgia-inducing organ chords of 'Pull Up Tool' from Main Phase then providing another different direction. Finally, Groovy D delivers a dancefloor singalong, with the rich vocal sweeps of 'Wun4Me' then putting the final touches on the project and seeing it out in style.

We open up with the glitchy soundscapes and crunchy drum smashes of 'Chunk', setting a high level of pace right from the jump before the title track 'Delirium' unleashes a seriously cool combo of nostalgic synthesizers and moogy bass rips to match. Review: With the current run of releases we are seeing from Time Is Now, it's safe to say they have had possibly the brightest start to the year of any UK label, with this latest four-track collection from Yosh being another great example of why that is. We open up with the shuffling breaksy slices and warbling synthetic shimmers of 'New Dawn', which sets the tone nicely with some high-octane arrangement techniques. This is then followed by 'Modulate', which allows its synthesiser backdrop to do exactly what is says on the tin, topped with more groovy breaks-driven flavour, before 'Snapback' delivers a broken-beat epic, focussing in heavy LFO drones and shuffling 2-step backdrop. Finally, the minimal yet progressive displays of 'Track 1' give us a fiery outro, rounding off another solid drop from both Yosh & the Time Is Now team.

Review: We don't know how they keep doing it, but the Time Is Now crew are quite easily one of the most impressive imprints in the UK right now, with this latest five tracker from Arfa being the latest in a long run of instant classics this year. First up 'Run It Back' delivers a sub-heavy garage experience, focussing on moody background strings and intricate drum shuffles, before 'Adapted' takes it even more old school with a bag of moogy drum pulses and more of those tasty drum maneuvers. From here, 'Ain't Ready' allows the drum designs to continue to impress, focussing on minimal melodics and subtle synth basses, before 'Real Badman' adds a dash of old school chord progression into the mix for a seriously groovy addition. Finally, Bakey gives 'Real Badman' a final look over with a much more sublow inspired rethink, giving the EP one final tick box filled from us. Amazing work!

We see them welcome the enigmatic DJ Crisps this time around for a four track wash, kicking off with the vibrant rolls of 'Keep It Up' throwing us right back to the dancefloors of the 90's with its bulbous bassline energy. Review: It's always a good time when we explore a new Time Is Now drop, who continue their reign of pure power in 2022 with this fabulously vibrant 5-track collection from Stones Taro. Kicking off we launch with 'Integration', a low-ended warbler, focussing on moogy bass tones and popping percussive taps, followed by the acidic pulses and rave-like arpeggios of 'Straight Walk'. From here the shuffling shakers and throwback organ chord stabs of 'Watching You' waft into view, before the much more high energy moogy bass stabs of 'Super Hot Floor' leap around on top of seriously crunchy drum sounds for good measure. Finally, 'Dry Flower' gives us some smooth, chord driven textures to round off the EP, which definitely sits as one of Time Is Now's stronger drops so far this year.

Review: Time Is Now White has been one of the most exciting sub-label imprints to keep an eye on in 2022 so far, with seemingly a release a week from some of the most exciting names in UKG. Yemi kicks off his latest appearance with two collaborations with Bria, firstly on the day-party sounding arrangements of 'Never Let You Go', doused in smooth chord progressions and clicking percussion. She then arrives again on the horn-driven sweeps of 'Smooth Talkin', which comes complete with its bubbling instrumental version as well. From here, the more blippy sounds of 'My Heart' wade into view, focussing on a slower tempo of garage roller, but being nonetheless potent for it. To round off, 'Soul Food' delivers another bubbling display of modernized garage flavour with vocal chops working some serious magic throughout, before 'Tension' sees us out with an airy masterclass of vocal sampling and synthetic joy. Lovely work.

We quickly hear the pressure intensify next as 'Street To The Slammer' combines old school grime-style synth lines with crunchy, lofi style drum crunches for a unique sonic adventure, before 'If You Want The Reload' floods our eardrums with piano-driven nostalgia. We then see that nostalgia modernised as the plucked beauty of 'Last One From Me' launches with some tidy sub-exploration and shimmering synthetics above, before 'From The Top' lets the moog loose with a warbling bassline, topped with minimal yet potent drum switch ups, summarising the project nicely with one final dance!

Review: Now we don't know what's in the water over at the Time Is Now HQ, but this latest run of releases has been nothing short of outstanding, with Prozak being the latest to join this exciting run. Kicking off the five track experience, we dive into the nostalgic bass pulses and skippy drum textures of '1996', followed by the tidy breaks and affected vocal stutters of 'Holy Spirit', adding a soundscape driven experiment to the menu. Next, the wicked vocal flavours and choppy drum slaps of 'Want Ur Luv' warble their way into view, with 'Hold Me Down' then unleashing a collection of old school rave keys and big booming subs to match. Finally, the hardcore influences of the project are let loose with the festival closing sounds of 'Higher', rounding off the EP with some serious feel good energy!

Review: There really does seem to be no slowing the Time Is Now movement, who continue their explosive start to 2022 with another gorgeous display, this time taking in Justin Jay across six tracks of experimental colour. First up 'Hypnotized' takes us on a sonic journey through nostalgic chord pulses, arpeggiating synthesizer slides and catchy vocal snippets, before 'I Know' steers violently left with a smooth display of junglist prowess. From here, the collaborations kick in as Denham Audio firstly join us on the acidic crunches and original breakbeat inputs of 'Swarm', next to the spacey chord progressions and jittering 4x4 drum designs of 'Burgundy' alongside Angelo Jsn. From here, Tim Reaper unleashes a very intense footwork inspired rethink of 'Swarm', next to an extended mix of 'I Know' to round off the project in style.

Review: It felt like it was only a matter of time until we saw this one come together, as the super-consistent sounds of Kobe JT finally land on Time Is Now for the 11th edition of their fabulous 'White' series, exploring white label themes with four brand new sizzlers. We open up with 'All I Do', a blast from the past with its colourful organ chords and mellow drum sweeps, closely followed by 'Next DJ', which sees The Phat Controlla join the party for a more niche-inspired look at 4x4 flavour. From here, a more moody combination of sparkling chord pulses, 808 bass drives and haunted synth incursions arrive on 'Lost In The Club', which leads into a tidy finale as 'Hope' combines chilling synthesiser pads with punchy drum rhythms in style. A scrumptious selection indeed!

Review: When you see these two entities next to each other on a line up, it makes immediate sense both visually and sonically, as Hypho lands on Time Is Now for a sizzling four track dive. We begin with the old school LFO flutters and scattered patois vocal spreads of 'London Tower Blocks 94', which gives us an old school feel from the jump, followed by an even moodier rethink from Interplanetary Criminal, delivering a high octane overhaul directly after. From here, Logan arrives for some additional vocal pressure on 'None Of Them', another grizzly garage steppers, laying the way for a killer finale in 'Get Bun'. This one is a serious throwback, as tense string lines, choppy vocals and more scrumptious LFO lines give us a perfect outro.

Review: Just when we thought the year had already come to a close for the Time Is Now crew, we saw this fabulous new box of treats land in the store, seeing Yosh return once again for what we believe to now be a final 2021 showdown. Featuring five sizzlers, this new EP kicks off with the spacious drum arrangements and bulging sub pulses of 'How We Roll', taking nostalgic samples and unique percussion to create something very colourful indeed. Next, '2 Times' unleashes a shuffling array of scattered rhythmic designs atop sticky subs, before the swirling pads and choppy breaks of 'It Goes' send us down a different avenue altogether. From here, the syncopated rhythmic switches and continuously evolving bass drives of 'Shape The Future' give us a more stripped back approach to the UKG sound, slowly introducing old school LFO sweeps into the mix as it moves forward. We then finally take in the spacious atmospherics of 'Pigments', which is supported by a dazzling display of percussive precision below, rounding off this EP perfectly!

Review: Whenever the Time Is Now team unveil a new project, we are always excited to see which unique direction we are going to be pulled in across the electronic spectrum. For this latest offering, Nicky Soft Touch delivers the official sampler for 'Lonely City', kicking off with the heavily atmospheric and completely unpredictable synthesizer drives of 'Lonely City Cut 2'. The clarity and definition we then hear on the drum work within 'Lost In A Sea Of Rolling Eyes' is pretty mind-boggling and gorgeously processing clicks and beeps provide us with a spacey rhythmic arrangement, before the choppy, breaks-driven action we hear sliced together across 'Lonely City Cut 4' throws us into another pit of unpredictability. Finally, the tech-inspired kicks and distant vocal dithering of 'Then There Was The Mass Chanting' give us another meditative creation, rounding off this sampler with a final dash of finesse.

Review: As one final treat from Soul Mass Transit System and Time Is Now, the entity duo has joined forces once again to deliver three spectacular new rollers to close out the year in style with, once again pushing them to the top of the tree. We begin with 'Freak-ee', a bubbling garage roller, combining distant saxophone melodies and atmospheric vocal riffs to unleash a smooth sizzler for the dance. Second, 'All I Need' ups the pace with a pack of punchy drum sounds and glitchy vocal slicing atop a bulbous bassline, before moving into the nostalgic sub-drives and super-skippy rhythmic displays of 'The Message', which puts the perfect final topping on one final wicked selection from Soul Mass Transit System, drawing a close to an epic year of releases.

Review: Now this next drop from the Time Is Now team is somewhat unexpected as they launch themselves head first into the niche sound of UK bassline, unleashing a raucous display of 4x4 fire from DJ Pantha. We kick off with the lively title track 'Bun & Cheese', a sumptuous selection of dizzying synthesizer pulses and high energy drum skips, before 'Dem A Talk' welcomes Cubzy inside for an additional guest vocal, adding the top layer to the gnarly synth skips below. Finally, 'Cant Beat Da Farda' gives us a super powerful outro, again welcoming guest coals as Rikki Tuff jumps on board with some melodic toasting, this time providing the final touches across an apocalyptic display of bass drives and clever drum arrangements. This whole EP packs a serious punch to say the least!

Review: The recent onslaught of releases from the Time Is Now camp has been pretty outstanding to say the least, with this latest helping from DJ Chupacabra giving us another spoonful of bass-driven delight. We open up with the skippy, almost alien-like pad textures, 2-steppy rhythms and moogy bass action of 'Grimer', which sets the tone nicely before diving into the the more gnarly bass drones of 'Rockstar' and euphoric harmonic arrangements of 'Killalot', which through colourful drum skips gives us a refreshing twist. We then jump into super-clicky drum designs and spacious layouts of 'Morbid', which again takes us down an entirely different sonic avenue, with the more acidic synth grooves and hard-hitting side chains of 'Croissant' providing a perfect finale. Awesome work.

Review: The Time Is Now team appear to have uncovered another set of gems for us all to enjoy as they welcome back the sounds of Soul Mass Transit System for a spectacular four track display of new school garage brilliance. We begin with the industrial style drum rolls and eerie atmospheric pressures of 'Give It 2 U', which sets the tone nicely as we explore a stunning electronic landscape. Next, 'My Name Is Down' takes it old school as heavily affected drum flicks and warbling bass tones play the lead role, followed by the explosive junglist flavours of 'Trubble N Strife' which gives the EP a serious switch up. Finally, it's time for the set closer as the joyous piano chords and powerful sub-lines of 'Got Me Burnin' gives us a perfect EP closer.

Review: These last few weeks have seen a top notch flurry of new releases from the Time Is Now team, who continue this theme with a wicked new five track collection from Frankel & Harper. They kick us off with the breaks-laced rhythmic twists of 'Track & Trace', leading the way with a warbling sub-selection before the more 2-steppy drum skips and spacious pad textures of 'Ultraheat' are unearthed. Next, 'Every Grain Of Sand' gives us a much more delicate design as subtle keys and floating synths play a heavy role, before 'Heinous Fly Trap' keeps up the spacey vibes with a subtle bouncing collection of unique drum sounds. Finally, 'Magnolia' turns up the pace with a lively 4x4 switch up, focussing on bubbly chords and uplifting melodies to round off the project in style.

Review: Following on from a relatively minimal release run for the last few years, it's been great to see Daffy spring back into action over the last couple 12 months, dropping top quality EP after top quality EP. This latest helping sees him land on Time Is Now, who have also been on a bit of a hot-streak. It's a match made in heaven as we kick off with the minimal garage grooves and tidy vocal slices of 'Put Your Feet Up' before the title track 'Run Around' focuses in on a much more tech-inspired selection of sounds. We take it old school next as 'Nerves' combines grizzly bass tones with breaksy drum arrangements, wrapped within a lo-fi blanket, followed by a crispy combo of modern breaks and subtle 8 08 subs in 'Lost Again'. We move into a broken-beat realm of garage next as 'Mishap' combines 2-step beats with bulbous bass curls for a real system-ready warbler, leaving the path clear for another breaksy creation to sign the project out in style. This one goes by the name 'Wasps Next' and works perfectly as both a summary of the EP's journey and hard-hitting finale.

Review: As ever with Time Is Now, we are back to explore the darker side of electronic dance music, with DJ Crisps this time supplying us a low-ended marathon of original UKG flavour. We kick off with 'Don't Need No Dirty Money', which works perfectly as a sub-heavy sentinel, patrolling around the sub-speakers with an almost alarm-like tonality within the bass & synth patterns, before the ascending 808 pings of 'Dynamic Reflections' give us something a little more delicate. The party then takes a more tasty route as the crunchy vinyl dust and eyebrow-lifting saxophone lines of 'Release The Pain' deliver a fabulously refreshing display. Finally, 'Sweet Melodies' is given to us as a more tech-influenced outro, fusing moogy bass pulses with constantly shifting drum arrangements for an intriguing finale.

This latest drop sees them team up with the incredible Time Is Now imprint, kicking off with the alien-like landscapes and smooth drum processing of 'Abbey Park', with the glittering vocal processing and colourful percussive flickers of 'Where You At?' following in hot pursuit. Next, the sultry strings and hypnotic melodic circles of 'Floaty' lead the way into 'Things That Make You Go 'Hmm?'', a much more hard-hitting approach to the darker side of breaks music. We begin with the oldschool breaksy garage chops and catchy vocal slices of 'OuttaControl' alongside Emma Cannon, before the slower paced drum stutters of 'AfterworldGroove' and super-syncopated rhythmic swings of 'KeepMovin'On' deliver follow up punches. Next, the squelching bass pressure and vibrant percussive pulses of 'ProjectZeus' alongside the steadily descending bass drones of 'Timeless' give us something a little different to enjoy, before rounding off with Anna Straker & Interplanetary Criminal getting involved on the blissful soundscapes and colourful drum selections of 'Higher' to unveil a perfect finale.

The first link up on the project sees DJ Crisps join the fun as the pair deliver a breaksy belter by the name of 'Freedom'. Next, Stones Taro gets involved on the beautiful arrangements of 'Hours', which again lands with a real level of finesse before the more bouncy garage pulses and groovy chord switches of 'Letting Go' take us somewhere different. The delicacy of the percussion and rhythmic expression within 'Blue' alongside Picasso is something truly special, followed by the jittering drum stutters and oldschool garage flavour of 'Close', which sees Tuff Trax deliver as always. A fantastically creative selection to say the least!

The title track 'Buss It' is a fantastic showcase of Main Phase's production ability, as subtle bass pulses and stripped back 2-step rhythms drive the track forward, closely followed by both the high energy drum skips and warbling LFOs of 'Our Style' and sweeping sub drones of 'Creepin', showcasing the deeper ranges of UKG. Finally, we jump into two additional scorchers, with 'Freaky' firstly providing another sub-heavy experience, before the groovy drum skips and moogy bass pushes of 'Misdemeanour' round us off in style.

Following a recent debut on the Holding Hands label furthermore, Tactics presents Yosh's third release already for 2021 - which the artist does so through the chilled out pads, dubbed-out vocals and chunks of slow motion jungle in"Drifted" to some slightly higher tempos and bleepy melodies in "Hypnotise Me". With an old school UK sound wrapped up in new production techniques, tracks like "Gen 1" and "Strike Back" sound like they've been pitched down to minus-8 on your turntable, next to or something way crispier and fresh in "Just Like That".

Review: Following on from a very impressive outing earlier on in the year, Wilfy D is back at it again with this fabulous six track expanse, courtesy of the team over at Time Is Now. We kick off this project with a look at 'Garage Tools' which combines smooth subtle melodies with crunchy drum skips for an exciting intro. We then dive into something a little more experimental rhythm wise with the 2-step influenced arrangement of the '3AM' mix of 'All About U', followed by the stripped back yet dancefloor ready vocal chops of 'Know U Like It'. The super groovy melodic plucks of 'Midnight Shift' lead the way into the second half of the EP, chased closely by two wicked remixes for good measure. Firstly DJ Crisps adds a slightly more metallic tang with his drum-heavy rethink, followed by Soul Mass Transit System's chord-driven overhaul, perfect for the late night dances!

Review: We don't know what's been dripped into the punch over at Time Is Now HQ, but this recent run of new releases from them has been pretty special indeed. This fantastic new selection from Interplanetary Criminal is a perfect example that, kicking off with this clean drum drives and nostalgic chord lines of 'In My Arms' and breaks-influenced rhythmic persuasion of 'Momofuku'. The experimental side of this EP then begins to bubble to the surface, with 'Opulence' linking classic patois vocal samples with warbling subs and sharp drum processing, before the nostalgic chord stabs and LFO-lead basslines of 'Let Loose' give us another perspective on UKG right now. We then finish with Coco Bryce's thunderous rethink of 'In My Arms', drawing this epic body of work to a close.
