Review: The latest release on Truesounds is very much in keeping with the imprint's take on house and techno. The title track features a stripped back rhythm supporting warbling electronic melodies and Lily Und Wolf's breathy vocals, which makes for an alluring combination. On "Secrets", Unstable Son pairs up with another vocal contributor, DCoverz; this time pensive male vocals are looped over a throbbing groove and growling bass tones. "Ypsilon" maintains this mood; while it is devoid of vocals, the arrangement's steely rhythm and moody, swirling filters still contain melodic undercurrents, audible in the bleep-laden break downs. Despite its title, Dystopia conjures up a world where melody-induced light reigns.
