Review: Tim Love Lee should need no introduction. He and his Tummy Touch label have been bringing us some sterling Balearic, downtempo and leftfield releases since the late 90s - the label was the early home of Groove Armada, for instance. Here, he returns to the 'Confessions' theme of his first two long-players as he serves up a 12-tracker that, stylistically, runs the gamut from bossa nova, mambo and lounge to squelchy electrofunk ('Touch It'), Afro-inspired jazz-funk ('Knock Knock') and, yes, even some actual trip-hop ('Starplay 69', a GA-esque cut-up of 'Fly Me To The Moon' - the Julie London recording, we think, but don't shoot us). Perfect for poolside lounging, barbecues or - at this time of year - perhaps just chillin' at home.
